I have just about finished reading the whole of the magazine, there is a lot of good reading in it already and in my opinion a major accomplishment, Udon has long been awaiting a publication like this.

As a sponsor I have had quite a few enquiries and a couple of bookings from my advertisement already, so I am more than pleased

4 thai friends look for magazine at Charoensri info/cTODAY girl at desk say " no have magazine" !!!!!!!!!!

i know you put magazine there allready ,but girl at desk is no good,and not give out magazine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

she just say " mai mee, mai mee"!!!!!!!

she was more concerned with doing her make up

dont know why she worry about make up so much !! it`s not going to help her , lol, she's a minger !!!

I also congratulate Lee on the magazine,very good info to have in the hotels,accomodation and even the airport if you can get them to show it! Probably room for both map and magazine right now,good read whilst sitting around in your accomodation and then takeing the map with you when out and about.
Presumably the advertising costs in the magazine are higher for the businesses than the map as a charge is quoted on the magazine so advertisers can pick and choose.
The maps are small but Lee can probably easily buy the rights to udonmap.com and the maps so next issue could include a fold out larger scale map of udon.

Won't be in Udon Thani until middle May but am looking forward to acquiring my copy of the guide.

If the small map is a problem, I was curious why they did not just insert the folded map into the guide. But the above post indicates that the guide's producers do not have the rights to the map. Thought it was all the same concern.

The eaterys are certainly of great general interest. Udonmap.com forum has introduced me to so many good restaurants that I could dine at a different restaurant each day of the month. Many would cost less than 100bt.

I have some magazines's here at Pop Pop's, stop by and pick one up. I have been reading the magazine and enjoy the reading. Great magazine Lee, wish I could say more, but everyone has said already. Congrats on the success of magazine.

Thanks everyone. I have no idea why the Charoensri complex aren't handing them out, after all we gave them over 100 copies and told them it was free. They have either run out or they're probably so well hidden that the girl on the counter doesn't know they're there. Or, it could be that they've decided not to hand over to locals because it's an English language only publication.

If you can't get them from the information counter try the Detox Center (map link in front page), our staff gave them copies for distribution.

I BOUGHT mine- at the new newsstand next to Pizza Company in the Charoensri Complex. Paid 25 bahts. Going to Nong's Ribs tonite. There's a 5% discount if I bring their ad, so expect to make back at least 10 of those bahts there!

Ah, could this be the answer? Maybe the Information desk in the complex passed them on to the News-stand round the corner to sell.

Unfortunately this is the only way we can get businesses to display the magazine in prime locations. So therefore we labeled the magazine Free but 25 baht at news stands only.

Most locations are free, only the commercial news and book shops will charge.

Hopefully people won't mind parting with 25bt, if not, they're available at Detox Center (Map on index page), most tourist spots and sponsors for free.

They have them but they told us yesterday that they were only handing them over to farangs because it's in English only. They should hand them over now.
