I was in hospital in Bangkok a few years back several operations (5) quarantined paid just short of 5 million baht for 2.5 months signed myself out went home 1 op and sorted about 250000 baht. Caught infection in my elbow from Angola paid a fortune here in Udonn to AEK wattana and Paulo at the time no one could get it resolved. Also had 1 op in South Africa again couldn't resolve it but 300000 a day I cant see how

To be honest I think eels are disgusting but they're usually sold in pie mash shops, i was bought up on that and I miss it lots but we use liquor not gravy like you lot up there. By the by, my missus loves jellied eels.

Be careful of that one Vince, most "military plans" tend to involve going over the top into a barage of gunfire and that seems far from healthy to me

It's to test one's Cardiovascular system, cheaper than a stress test on a treadmill.

Might be a little difficult to explain to grieving relatives that the subject had an M.I. & gunshot wounds though.

Today I came for a full body check, blood, ECG, urine, X-rays etc. We arrived at the General hospital at 7am and ended up at the end of a very long queue, I was immediately regretting the decision (of my wife) to come here. By 7.06am we were checked in and on our way to the first department. Here we were met by a really lovely lady who asked me what I wanted and if there were any additional tests I’d like. From here we went to the bloods department, we were greeted by yet another lady who pretty much immediately handed me a bottle for a urine sample and within 10 minutes I was sent to have my blood taken. We were ushered straight in and I can honestly say I have never had such a pain free blood test, I was waiting for the usual little sting but it never happened, she was a real marvel and within 5 minutes I was on my way to X-ray. We arrived at X-ray, i only had one person in front of me and within minutes I was standing in front of one of the most up to date Samsung X-ray machines I’ve ever come across, obviously quite new and again within minutes I was on my way. Next was the ECG (EKG), to be honest we had a 20 minute or so wait here but the real issue was that they aren’t used to men with body hair so it took a good 15 minutes or so before they actually got the pads to stick and then they did the ECG. Next I was off to pay for my tests, 1040 baht! I was amazed, so cheap! Last leg was up to hand all my bits of paper back to where we started, we were told to get something to eat and pop back for the results. So here I am at 9.55 am eating my breakfast, I cannot begin to tell you what a great experience this has been, I am so glad I came here, I owe the wife a bunch of flower by way of an apology, she was 100% correct, this hospital is great.

May I ask, did you have an appointment?

No I just walked in but you mustn't eat or drink after 8pm the day before. If you are particularly worried about your heart go on a Tuesday because the heart specialist is there on a Wednesday and he'll need to see your results.
