For the thai girl who thinks she has everything....a meat cleaver
We are all aware of the skill of thai girls with these things and no doubt all get the "you other girl, I chop chop".
So of you love only her, buy her one and get it engraved with a love or funny caption. You will also be amazed if she does use it just how much more skilled she will become using it. Although have never had the nerve to ask what she who rules is thinking when she is using it.
Bad idea though if you do mess around

"And if you listen very hard
The tune will come to you at last
When all are one and one is all
To be a rock and not to roll"

I'm heading back over tomorrow morning. I bought Waen a valentines card that is larger than my suitcase. While I am on the airplane I'm going to buy her some makup, lip gloss and mascara from skymall on the airplane or from one of the airport shops in Tokyo. She'll think that I bought it for her but I'm really buying it for ME.
Remember that not getting what you want is sometimes a wonderful stroke of luck
Re: Hi everyone :)
Beer Lao x 3 cartons & a suprise visit by her neice from Lao (I won the visa battle with immigration finally) not really romantic but it was planned for her birthday and visa delays pushed it back to valentines day. I whish had known about the clever though, that would have saved me some $$.Bangsean_girl wrote:well now I have a different question to ask ! What would u buy to ur gf on valentine's day?? I find your post rather disturbing (LOL) and I hope that "buying it for me" does not mean you actually intend to wear it ?wansman wrote: While I am on the airplane I'm going to buy her some makup, lip gloss and mascara from skymall on the airplane or from one of the airport shops in Tokyo. The vision I have in my head currently is not one you would enjoy seeing
Each to their own I guess !
Bailed Out
As had been asked of me in another post, I was wondering what to do for Jack with Valentine's Day and her February 22 birthday approaching. Well, I phoned her Friday evening (Thai time), and she scotched any ideas--she said not to buy her anything, if I was planning any surprises.
The Canadian High Commission in Singapore, by which all Permanent Resident Visas for Thai people looking at coming to Canada are processed, has sent her instruction that she has two months in which to go to Bangkok and get a police clearance certificate. Consequently, at the end of this month, she plans to leave Phuket where she is now, and fly to Bangkok to arrange this. Then she will return to her village near Udon for an extended home visit. Who knows? Maybe she won't have to return to Phuket, if somehow the visa application processing flows smoothly. Sadly, though, Singapore can only boast of processing 30 per cent of their cases within a five-month span of time--and they only opened her account on December 21/2005. It takes them up to 16 months to process 80 percent of their applications, so obviously we're hoping to fall into the favoured 30 per cent somehow.
God forbid we somehow fall within the final 20 per cent of cases!
Anyway, because she will be needing an unknown quantity of funds in the very near future, I'm to be saving on expenditures for her like frivolous Valentine's and birthday gifts! Send cash instead, is the message!
