Been thinking a bit since i saw that resort for sale.......then i remembered this post.....

(from page 6 of this epic)
cableguy2007 wrote:Just been informed that Stevie boy or billy liar as we know him has been telling friends of ours in Boston that he sold his businesses in udon for ...wait for it £200,000 !!!
might have to take that with a pinch of salt ..lol
Maybe thats what he was talking about Possibly, the resort could of been sold already...which would mean its not actually on the market anymore,...... :-k :-k

7.7 million baht.......ouch. live in one, rent out the other 3 for 1000, being generous. over 7 yrs for return of investment. more realistic, 500 baht a night, over 14 yrs, if full every day, before expenses.

yea, sign me up................

or, simply add 32 K Baht to my monthly expenditures for the next 20 years, if i would make that long. i think another 1 k baht a day could put a bigger smile on my face instead of banging my head against the wall. and no risk of losing investment.

The four peaks was offered to me by the G-man a couple of months ago for 5 million baht and he told me the bungalows were rented out long term for 10,000bht a month. but I still declined the offer after speaking to my finacial wizard ( Thia Wife)

Just a thought.....
Sounded like who ever was behind the sale was wanting to get any 'cash maybe,or transfer' price for it to get as much together...well you can fill in the blanks........ before the sh*t hit the fans..........Image

but then 5 mill could be considered too much by some....who really knows what it worth..!!! looking at La's figures it will take sometime to make a profit....it looks good in the pics very tidy and modern i will say and did say before ...but you are living on top of one another, talk about utilising a small bit of land.

sounds like you had a lucky escape billg, who knows what you would have actually brought......best treat the Mrs .

I notice that in the ad for Four Peaks it mentions its surrounded by 2m high walls not once but twice. Would this security measure keep the criminals in or out? :pirate:

If mentioned twice maybe its a 4 metre high wall.....

And the grammar is a bit on the dodgy side.....fair few mistakes, surprising for a Pro outfit. :-s

'Bungilow'..as in Bungalow

'presher' .. as in water pressure

'mecon'...as in Mekhong.

'built i sliding wardrowds.'...as in Built In Sliding Wardrobes.

It could be easy to fall into the trap to think that that description was written by somebody with whom English wasn't their first language. Sadly in this case the description has all of the hallmarks of being written by Mr Slade himself. You don't need to be a genius to be a thief.......

That sounds like the letter I got from my good friend in Nigeria who told me I won the lottery.

Gents,,,,, since I'm not there,,,, all I know is based upon what I read here..... My next question is:

I wonder if Slade's Thai wife (and family) knows he's put her property up for sale? :-k

Does the phrase "Caveat Emptor" definitely apply here?

Why doesn't someone tell her, she could still be in prison but she has her rights and she needs to know.

A quick heads up, Mrs. Slade.

Didn't really enjoy most aspects of school life at the time but now look back with great fondness. Especially Geography with Cyril. What a character! Now an Estate Agent with William H Brown, so for all you teachers who doubted my aptitude and future, HA! For all those who didn't thanks a lot, You were great.
Where did it all go wrong....

I blame Cyril, his geography teacher, for showing him on a map where Thailand is all those years ago and his great fondness of this highly thought after teacher meant that his money earning days were to be here 8)
