Map to your house, photo, 90day form and extension paperwork filled out ahead of time, all copies signed ahead of time.....should be a piece of cake.

I am due to extend 9 March 2014. I asked at Immigration if a letter from the Australian Embassy aquired on 14 October 2013 will still be valid then. The girl at the door (in Immigration uniform) answered in the affirmative. Do you think I will have any problems when I go to renew mid february 2014?

wokka, the current practice seems to indicate they will accept a letter up to 6 months old. I recently used a Stat Dec dated 6 June, in early September.

Of course, YMMV.

Thank you for the update, guys.

I asked about using an income letter from January in September and they (two people at Udon Immigration) said that letters over six month old were too old to be used.

Smooth as glass. I did what was recommended in this thread (with the exception of giving copies of all visa pages, which were accepted). Just after handing over the stack of papers, the passport and yellow house book I realized that I had forgot to stop at the ATM. The Immigration office told me where the nearest machine was, and 10 minutes later I returned she finished up a couple of minutes later. No questions about anything. I merely had to pose in front of the camera, pay the money and be on my way. She was so efficient that it was AMAZING! No wonder I was the only person having my paperwork taken care of -there aren't enough people to keep the cues full at this rate :-)

Back in the 'days of old', going to Immigration at AEK could be an all day affair, or driving to Nongkai to put up with the sales lady, Nina, or Mr. no-Smile, or 'sorry, our copier isn't working......go downtown and make a copy of this'. And in the days before that, (I've been told) it was customary to walk in with a bottle of good scotch to smooth the process.
Thank God times change!

In my experience thats always been the case, they start the new 90days from the day of your extension, unlike other offices who I understand will treat the extension and 90 day as separate issues making you attend possibly twice within a month

Did annual extension based on retirement for the first time in Udon today. Great service. This is the first time I have been asked to draw a map to my home. Also, they wanted my girlfriend to show her ID as well. Never asked before to show her ID at Jomtein or Bangkok.

For those who have not yet used the ticket machine, you need to push the language button before pushing the type of service button.
