Found this thread started 19 years ago  .. i still recco some of the user names from the early pages .. Jacksprat lived in a tent with Eddie in Ban Dung and Udon was way more fun especially those wooden house in small sois.

Anyway its a tad inclement at the moment in Udon ..been raining solid for hours blooming marvelous for the garden and lovely cool temps reminds me of Grimsby and Cleethorpes on a summers day and without the retards and dog turds.

Forcast this depression to drop bucket loads for next few days.. but we can ALL still smile as Scunny Utd are still clear Toppa the league eh Jack .

It's supposed to really pish doon tonight and tomorrow.

Aberdeen are 5 wins from 5 and Peterhead are 5 wins from 6. Great start to their seasons. Fort William are labouring a bit at .500

In other news, Accrington should be up against Scunthorpe next season.

Sticking ones head out the window is the most accurate way to gauge what happening ... alas when traveling it may not always be accurate ... my go to weather app remains the extremely accurate TMD rain radar which i log into the Khon Kaen loop to track where the rain , heavy rain and storms are LIVE in the whole of upper Isan... always found this to be pretty much spot on aslo handy when doing building jobs etc to see if its agood idea to get the tools out or pour that concrete.

TODAY .. Moderate to heavy rain for Udon and surrounding area.

A weather stone at the Craven Arms pub and cruck barn, Barden, Craven, North Yorkshire, reputedly more accurate than Paul Hudson, the BBC weather man

Some examples of the instructions commonly provided for "reading" a weather rock include:

If the rock is wet, it's raining.
If the rock is swinging, the wind is blowing.
If the rock casts a shadow, the sun is shining.
If the rock does not cast a shadow and is not wet, the sky is cloudy.
If the rock is difficult to see, it is foggy.
If the rock is white, it is snowing.
If the rock is coated with ice, there is a frost.
If the ice is thick, it's a heavy frost.
If the rock is bouncing, there is an earthquake.
If the rock is under water, there is a flood.
If the rock is warm, it is sunny.
If the rock is missing, there was a tornado.
If the rock is wet and swinging violently, there is a hurricane.
If the rock can be felt but not seen, it is night time.
If the rock has white splats on it, watch out for birds!!
If the rock Is full of sand, Its most likely The beach
Weather rocks will sometimes include rules for proper maintenance of the system such as, "Please do not disturb the weather rock, it is a finely tuned instrument!"

Decades this has ruled whereas Apps have been around what, 20, 30 years?

Huai Luang dam west of Udon is now at 100% full. I imagine that means they'll be increasing discharge which will potentially fill up Nong Prajak reservoir and potentialy flood downtown.. https://www.thaiwater.net/water
