Sendiing Mail
Re: Sendiing Mail
I just got off the phone with Democrats Abroad, Thailand and learned that if you have an absentee ballot that must be mailed back to the states you can use the US Embassy. Enclose a cover envelope and mail packet to Embassy, I'd recommend EMS. They will send to the states in the Embassy mail and it will be forwarded to your state. No charge.
He also said no regular airmail service to the states at this time and doubted seriously if there would be anytime soon.

Hey sausages are worth their weight in gold don't knock them
Re: Sendiing Mail
Just received a few minutes ago. Posted in UK 14th. Left UK on 20th, arrived BKK 28th, delivered Udon 31st. That cost 11 quid, so not too bad considering.tamada wrote: ↑July 19, 2020, 11:10 amMy sister's sending me a small package, dropped off at the (UK) Post Office last Tuesday 14th, tracking shows "LANGLEY HWDC, Item Leaving the UK" at 11 a.m. yesterday after sitting there for 3 days, presumably waiting for an airplane.TAXIfor7/11 wrote: ↑July 12, 2020, 10:26 amHad a letter sent over from uk last monday,''signed for'' usually takes 6/7 days ,lets see what happens this time
BTW, the time-sensitive stuff via DHL that was picked up Friday 10th in the UK was collected from DHL office in Udon on 14th which was one day earlier than they advertised.

On the same subject but other direction. Has the Thai Postal Service started to accept mail to outside Thailand ie Europe now. Were refusing during the main lockdown period unless you wanted to spend 2K baht on a letter.
Re: Sendiing Mail
I received a regular mail letter from Kansas City, Missouri today. It was postmarked 9 July, 2020.

I thought a rich man like yourself would use a courier, I thought snail mail was only for us plebs?
The forest was shrinking daily but the trees kept voting for the axe as its handle was made of wood and they thought it was one of them.

You was the one who boasted about your wealth! I try not to think too often these days, I find it easier to deal with jerk like you that way.jackspratt wrote: ↑July 31, 2020, 5:10 pmThat statement indicates that some plebs don't think......vincemunday wrote: ↑July 31, 2020, 4:40 pmI thought a rich man like yourself would use a courier, I thought snail mail was only for us plebs?

Re: Sendiing Mail
I’m not going back through your posts, I see enough of your drivel the first time I see it but wasn’t it you and your boyfriend gobbing off about how you had both secured your future rather unlike us lot, then didn’t it turn out you live in the middle of nowhere?
Apologies for “was”, we cockney boys have little quirks in our everyday language that slip out every now and again, we still use words and sayings from way back “was” being one of them, I must try harder.
Back to the thread, I’ll be posting some cards early next week, I’ll keep an eye on how long they take to get there.
