Life is looking good in Nong Khai. It's the place to be although one hopes Boris Johnson doesn't retire there once he's out of office. Thailand already has too many British MI 6 agents and former agents and other British secret service gents on its barstools.

Those types like the bar stools in Bangkok and Pattaya. They avoid Nong Khai like the plague. Besides, with 747 and Texpat roaming the streets by the Lao border, everything is calm and in good hands.

As for the weather reports, only those from the pen of 747 are to be trusted. He may be lacking in Bloody Football!!!!! knowledge, but he knows the weather.
