I was wondering if anyone has been to the new Udon Thani Immigration office or if it really has moved.
How efficient was it? How long was the wait?
Can anyone confirm Udon Immigration move?

According to the following post they just moved in today, may have to give it a day or so for the dust to settle.greatsnake wrote:I was wondering if anyone has been to the new Udon Thani Immigration office or if it really has moved.

They plan to open at the new office at the police station on the 29th. at 08.30 am.
The official opening is planned for later as and when the chief of immigration decides.
Things don,t always go to plan on start up and there is probably going to be a bit of confusion ( hickups ) in the beginning, so this seems a sensible judgement IMHO

P.S.
I must look as poor as am, I wasn,t asked to make a donation.... :-"

Re: Can anyone confirm Udon Immigration move?
I can confirm the new immigration office is indeed open. There is a road on the right side of the police station. Follow that road to the end and turn right for the immigration office.
I haven't been to the Udon Immigration office in more than a year but my experience was very pleasant. You have to take off your shoes before you go in so I suggest sandals for ease of removal. When I went in there were 5 young girls sitting at the desk where the forms are. Everyone was very nice and it was very efficient. It was far more pleasant than the last time I went.
Total time at Immigration: 20 minutes.
