Electric HOVVER mower where ??

Hello All.

Im posting to assist a mate who is looking to buy a new (or if ness secondhand) electric hovver mower , anyone out there know where in or around Udonthani can get one .

As the retired marketing director of the company manufacturing these things I must be responsible for selling thousands of them and I can tell you they are not suitable for the normal grass grown in Thailand .The downward pressure required to make them "Hover" requires a flat surface or there is significant loss of power required to cut the grass .Also the grass here is very coarse and places a huge strain even on the 1000watt motor .I have burnt out two since being here. Naturally with my connections I got my money back and I believe as a result of my observations the product has been withdrawn from the Thai market .Get a petrol motorised cutter, I recommend one with a Briggs & Stratton engine .Just a tip. :-"

Thanks TB ,,,,,,, the fella wants it to cut the smooth turf/grass laid on the bank of his pond/lake , hes of the mind a petrol will be too heavy to pull up and down the bank . Hes been to Tool pro and Global etc with the reply ..... sorry no have not sell anymore , so maybe you are right about them being withdrawn from the Thai market.

Flymo was the market leader if i remember corect. I will pass on your advice sir.

Not quite correct. B&D brought out the first electric one and initially Flymo initiated an advertising campaign based on the catch line " Why bover with a hover" But hurriedly altered that when they saw how many were selling, then hastily brought their own version of an electric hover out, but to little too late, However they did bring out two petrol motored ones that were very good and sold successfully.

i have a petrol brigs- stratton.only used a few times for sale if anyone is intrested in buying.
