One year ago I bought a Panasonic washer, 11 k, from big c. For a year it worked great.
Then it stopped draining, called repair from the book a nice man came out, spent 4 hours fixing it, worked great..all under the 2 year warranty
Last week did the same thing..stopped draining. called the same man, he moved, was referred to UD service by Big C.
2 men arrived on Thurs, appt was Monday. They spent an hour and said they had to take it to the shop
My mistake here, letting them do that
After a week with no call, I called, they said the top door broke...was fine when they took it
Went to the shop right across from UD
The door is broken, told them they did this...they said no
Bill is 2,700 baht and will take 6 weeks to fix
Any suggestions?
Please help me!
Bob

Consumer rights here are still in the Stone Age, thngs are getting better, slowly.
As for your washing machine.
It's your word against theirs, regarding the broken lid.
Either cough up or write it off to experience.
We have a coin-op laundry, our washers take a lot of punishment, Amorn in the Big C building service all our machines.
All Samsung Diamond Drum top loaders, as long as you keep them level, which avoids the bearings wearing out quickly they will last. We've had ours for 8 years.

When you took your machine to the repair shop, they should have given you a receipt that identified the specific problem that needed repairing. If 'broken top' wasn't on the receipt, I'd not let them off the hook too easily. Try to speak with 'management' at the shop instead of the guy at the front desk. If that doesn't work, I'd elevate it to Panasonic in Bangkok.
Our less-than-1 year old Toshiba 40" TV went on the blink two weeks ago...we took it to the same repair shop.......I gave them the receipt, but the repairman said I needed a warranty card. I don't have it......and I pointed out the pertinent info on the receipt. He accepted it, repaired the TV in less than a week........I'd rate good service.
