Udon Locals better than the locals in Nong Khai?

Post by Prenders88 » May 13, 2007, 10:43 pm

I saw this on this weeks Stickman.

It is generally true that the further you get from Bangkok the friendlier the people get. However, that is not the case when you compare the friendliness of the locals in say Udon Thani and Nongkhai. Udon has to be home to some of the friendliest and most farang friendly locals around. The locals are so polite and gracious and just so God damned nice. But go 60 clicks up the road to Nongkhai and the people are nowhere near as friendly, smiles are a lot harder to find and they just do not have the same charm as the Udon locals. Just why is that?

Yeah just why is that???
I've never been treated badly in Nong Khai, nor have I found it harder to find a smile.

When I am in Issarn
I spend my time between Udon & Nong Khai

I find that people in both places very friendly and beautiful people.

I don't know what stickman is on about?

Hi there ,

Whilst visiting the market in Nong Khai to buy Hammocks recently I met the most beautiful and freindly sales girl anyone could wish to meet , and as I was talking to her , her small child sitting on the floor nearby even asked if I was her papa ! Jokingly the girl explained that I could'nt be as there was no resembalance ,

So as far I'm concerned you can't tar everyone with the same brush , Oh and if anyone should ever meet this girl , please tell her how to contact me  8)
Be Cool !
