Hi,
I am currently on a road trip from Chiang Rai to Hua Hin and was pleasantly surprised at the discounts offered to seniors ( over 60 with proof of age ) ofered to non Thais. Doi Tung, an individual Botanical Gardens no fee for seniors and in Hua Hin discounts for seniors at Vanavana park. Unsure if this is a low season promotion or standard practice. Off to Monsoon Winery followed by trip to Pala U waterfall, should be a great day out. Anyone thinking of visiting Hua Hin, put the Chocolate Shop and Restaurant on you list as it is a 1st class dining experience, beautiful decore and ambience, prices are above the standard fare however the overall experience justifies the price.

Re: Concessions to seniors entering national parks
I’m not old enough to qualify for seniors discounts but in a similar vein my missus always shows these places my Thai I.D. card and I’m usually let in at the same price as Thai.
The forest was shrinking daily but the trees kept voting for the axe as its handle was made of wood and they thought it was one of them.

I read some of these topics on this site and sometimes
It embarrassing....
Discounts to enter Thai temples ,Thailand flower gardens etc....
We farangs should be greatful the Thai people welcome us with open arms and let us see there beautiful Kingdom...
Here in Uk we pay a great deal more to enter some place
They only ask small money I myself don't see the problem with a few baht and would be embarrassed to ask for discount or show any card...
Think what it would cost you in your own country....
Same with bottle of beer small 50/60 baht food so cheap
Yet some farang still moan its expensive, and leave a tip .
for these hard working kind always smiling beautiful Thai people..
Yes I have lived in many village ,city in Thailand so I see Day to day living of many Thai families that always make me welcome because they know I have a good and honest heart
