Hi B.m ,
What do you mean ? I still am young , but beleive me this was a level of noise and disturbance that was not tolerable ! and I think it's bad when you spend good money on Viagra and this sort of behaviour makes you lose you concentration #-o

A very good and humorous report, ebroguy. Sounds like you did it all in your short trip, including getting some fishing in, and enjoyed it all, eh? One thing I noticed was that you said you are from Barcelona? One of my favorite cities in the world. So going from Barcelona to Bangkok and Udon must have been like going from a filet mignon to prime rib, right?

Hi there Polehawk !

I actually live about an hour and half south of Barcelona , and rarely get the time to visit this wonderful city other than the occasional airport run ! .

For me , I am not a big city type , and Udon gels with me quite comfortably and Nong Khai is the sort of place I could live , as for Bkk well just the shear size of the place scares the hell out of me ! Though I do believe there are some interesting things to do and see there , so maybe one day with a good guide I will spend some time there ! .

Yes I did try to get around as much as I could without putting myself under pressure , I just wanted to get a general feel for the area , and I think I acheived this , and yes , I did enjoy all of it ! .

Take care
Be Cool !

South of Barcelona. Hmmmm, I've been there once.
Didn't see any Spanish people between the couple of million tourists.

I can understand why you want to go to Udon, ha ha.

Ah frankie ! you must be talking about the typical tourist resorsts of the Costa's , Lorret D' Mar , Blanes , Salou etc , I live in a little hide-away alongside the river Ebro 30 minutes from the coast , not that I dislike the coastal areas of course , but it's o.k for a day at the beach now and again ! ,

And yes ' Jimbo ' I suppose Las Ramblas to Falang alley would be a big difference , all I can say is that at least I never got mugged in Falang alley , well not this trip anyhow ! 8)
Be Cool !
