Best burgers in Udon

Post by grievous » January 22, 2024, 5:18 pm

I’ve been away for awhile so I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a good burger.
I used to use Cixgar a bit before but they’ve closed up shop

David's place, "The Center Beers 'n' Burgers", in behind Lotus's north on Soi Nongpiboon 10, just up from the HOP INN. Opens at 17:00.

TJ's was my all time fave, but the original (first) Bookhouse & Coffee Shop also did great burgers, so I'm sure the owner will have taken the recipe to her new place.

Like many things talked about on here, taste is an individual reaction what may be good for one person may be otherwise to someone else.

IT also comes with the ambience of the location, staff and price, none of those have been mentioned. . .

"The Center Beers 'n' Burgers"

Quiet area, friendly customers, ample parking, charming staff, draft beer and prices that won't put a wrecking ball through the pension.

Did I get everything KP?

Oops...not quite. I forgot to mention it's an awesome pool venue too!!!

Ohม how can one comment on places one has never visited, as eating burgers is not as one might say portrays the pinnacle of gastronomic enjoyment.
BUT generally to point out exแellence you should always include the other factors even if a food is superb but the location is bad, it is needed to portray the actual situation thereby painting a picture into someone else's imagination.

You're not eating the right burgers. They can be spectacularly good!

While I do agree taste is subjective, the OP did ask for people's opinion based on what they thought was good.

Aren't location, ambience, staff and price equally as subjective as taste?

Do they use cheese whiz on the hamburgers in Thailand? It seems that most restaurants here in Khon Kaen use that nasty stuff instead of real cheese. I have only had a cheeseburger once in Thailand about six years ago and had one bite before sharing it with the soi dogs.

Providing of course the contents of the BURGER are guaranteed over 70 % of what they say it is `. Those who make their own burgers normally are more truthful about the contents as opposed to mass produced burgers so beloved by many whose taste is added to by the additions of a salad item plus sauces, as o0n their own the burgers are often tasteless.

..who me..How hard can it be to do your own burgers..just asking. When you do your own you know exactly what you're eating.Marinate the burgers and put them in the freezer same goes for the chicken, marinate and in the freezer they go.Take them out and fry them..or if you happen to have an Air Fryer.Jepp, hamburgers are not healthy IF you add all those not-to-healthy-but-taste-good-extras,the patties it self whit only onion and some guacamole, the spicy one they have at Villa Market..aroi.And try 1 pack of Sweet Potatoe Fryes they sell at Macro..a bit healthier the plain ones..

//Alfie wish all Forum members a healthy day :-)

In the past I have gotten pork burgers rather than beef burgers. When quizzed, the restaurant answered that ham is pork. Hard to argue that point. The truth be told is that Thai beef is pretty bad even when ground.
