He is retiring at age 30? please teach me Master Yoda.Pakawala wrote:Well Barry, I'm dumbfounded as to how you could 'retire' and still be in your 30's... ?? It sounds like you're here on a permanent basis like so many of us in our 50's & 60's so in response to your original question - if you don't play golf, enjoy motorcycle trips or do a lot of fishing then I suppose you will be resigned to spending a lot of time with Roy.![]()
Not that Roy is a bad guy, I truly enjoy his company, but you definitely need to find something to occupy your ample time while in Udon. I 'retired' (in the Philippines) at the age of 39 and after attending school for a couple semesters I went to work. I found this was the most productive way of staying away from the 'evils of drink' and to keep my sanity.
Good luck and welcome to Udon.
Exactly my point. I was just listing 'some' of the things you can do.polehawk wrote:Flight of the Phoenix (2004)
ok,ok. I googled it.![]()
"Like someone said, if you're not into something like golf, biking or fishing, there isn't much else." Well, there are trips to places like Chiang Mai, Phuket, Ko Chang, Laos, Cambodia, Viet Nam, Malaysia, etc. plus reading good books and browsing the internet. Too little time to become bored.

I think a man only needs one thing in life. He just needs someone to love. If you can't give him that, then give him something to hope for. And if you can't give him that, just give him something to do.
