Christmas Party

Post by fdimike » December 23, 2005, 11:14 am

The annual VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) Christmas party will be held on Saturday December 24th at Nongprajak Park in the Pavillion at the main entrance. An honest to goodness Santa will be there with plenty of gifts for all children under 12 years old. The party will begin at 12:00 Noon and run until approximately 5:00PM (1700 hours).

This event is open to the ENTIRE Thai and Farang community and is intended to provide some Christmas joy for the youngsters. There will be ample food and drink for all at no charge (except for the beer). The menu will include, turkey, baked ham, hot dogs on a stick, hamburgers, Kow Phat, Spring Rolls, Ka Nom Gin, Curry, soft drinks, beer, water and of course ice cream for the children.

Entertainment will be prvided and we will be raffling off door prizes to include a 21 inch Color TV, 2 DVD/MP3 players, and an Electric Hot Water Pot.

We look forward to seeing you and your children at the Park.

Happy Holidays to all

Many thanks to the people that put this event together. First time attending and the first time my step daugter met the real Santa Claus. She has been telling everyone all about Santa Claus since Saturday and asking when he comes again.

I saw so many smiles on the kids faces as well on the adults. :D

It's a shame nap time caused our early exit, I would have loved to hang around a have a few of the golden sodas with everyone. Anyway thanks again.

Hi Paul

I'm glad we were able to bring out that beautiful smile on your stepdaughters face. I'll pass along your words to the rest of the VFW members. Please tell your stepdaughter that Santa has to work the whole of next year to get ready for his next visit.
We really look forward to seeing you, your stepdaughter and everyuone else in the community at next years event when Santa will make another visit.

Christams is all about the children and we were really happy to see so many smiling young faces.

Regards and Happy Holidays to all

What a great picture it is so cool the see the look on the kids faces. Just talked to my father in-law who is also a member of the Udon VFW and he said the turn out was great and they handed out present to about 300 kids. Great work guys now stand up and take a bow you deserve it =D>

It was a great day, I had taken a you boy who comes to Pop-Pop's all the time. He doesn't have a father and lives with, cousins, aunts/uncles and who ever else is in that small house. When he opened that present....the look was the greatest sight to behold.
