Port Wine

Post by das1922 » February 26, 2015, 1:57 am

I could not find any Port wine at either Tops Market or the wine vendor just outside Tops Market store in Udon Central Plaza. Can anyone recommend a store in UT which might carry Port wine?

Their might be some in the store on a corner in Phrosi Road, he carries a huge range of stuff, it is the junction just before the one to Immigration if my memory serves me right. I still have 20 to 30 yr old bottles form the UK, so never looked. The problem is once you open it you have to drink it as it does not keep well here in a decanter.

Good Port requires the presence of a lovely young lady , open log fire, very large Flokati rug and beautiful music, the port/lady and all that goes so well together, that the fact you may not have drunk the whole bottle s rather irrelevant .

Open log fires are outside and the damn mosquitos and other little nasties preclude anything remotely sensual.hence that is why I still have the port.

Had to make do with a smokeless fuel fire, a "redicut" rug that I'd made 15 years before, and a Burt Bacharach album, but we had good imaginations ....... more so after the 1.5 tumbers of Taylors Port each

I stopped by the Villa market yesterday. They do have a more extensive selection of alcohol. I purchased a bottle of Ferreira Port Ruby. I do not plan to consume the entire bottle in one evening, but thanks for the recommendation.
