In a few years we collected a lot of lead acid batteries.
Obviously a few from car/tractor, and some "truck batteries" 135Ah that where used for solar.
And 16* 200Ah deep cycle lead acid battery.
Quite a pile now, enough of interest for recycling.
Way over 750 kg of old lead, when 70% of the battery weight is lead.
Probably closer to 1000 kg.
Does anyone know where to get the best refund for old (dead) lead acid battery?
They probably can have a 6 months to a year second Life with Epson salt, we moved over to LiFePO4.
(Now 1016Ah@51.2v (S16) total of+ 50 kWh)
If I look at international scrap lead prices,
The totalv(@750 kg) could be worth 25-30.000 THB.(or more)
That's interesting enough to search for a good price.

Re: Metal Recycling (Lead acid batteries)
Most vehicle parts shops around here place a trade in value of 500 Baht for the old battery, doesn't appear to matter what size it is.
Obviously they have a buyer for them, so first up I'd go and talk (take the missus) to a vendor.

Sent from my 1977 Apple II using 2 Heinz bake bean cans and piano wire!

Yes, that's how far we already came.
300-600 THB range.
600thb is crazy for 50kg of lead...
They have a buyer.
In Europe it's old metals recycling plants.
Who give a fair price for old aluminium, copper, scrap iron and lead. (Or lead acid batteries)
In Thailand it's??

If it can't be done, it never happened..
