I am planning to purchase a camera in UT. Does anyone have a recommendation for a store with a good price and selection of cameras?

It depends on what kind of camera you want to buy. A Digicam for about 4.000 Baht or a real big DSLR-camera from Canon, Niko etc.
But You can leave this decision open until you are on the second floor of CentralPlaza. There all kind of shops with different types to cameras are located.
Your wordening of the question tells one that you are most probably a newbie to cameras. The real cheap ones are also available on the same floor.
Happy shopping.
Please wear suitable clothing when attending a concert in Udon Thani. Slacks and short-sleeved shirts are ok, shorts, tank tops or muscle shirts are not.

Beware the "lens error" on Canon Powershot and Ixus models: inadvertently putting pressure on the On/Off button while camera is in bag or pocket may result in lens getting stuck partially extended, see www.e18error.com

I had Canon Powershot and experienced the dreaded "lens error". After trying all of the corrections on the internet I bought a new camera. Thanks for the comment.

Thanks for the advice. Will check out the Central Plaza. I was wondering whether I should check somewhere else, Big C or somewhere else? My knowledge of UT is very limited.

My favorite shopping is from a couch and having the item delivered.

Now happy with my Sony Cyber-shot - similar to Canon IXUS but the lens does not extend so never has lens error. There is a Sony shop on 2nd floor of Central Plaza.
