The value of proverbs

I believe there is a lot of wisdom in the old proverbs handed down from generation to generation.

One's that spring to mind, particulalry in LOS include:-

You can't judge a book by it's cover.
Look before you leap.
Variety is the spice of life.

However, some do tend to contradict each other!! :D

E.g. Look before you leap -v- He who hesitates is lost.

E.g. Many hands make light work -v- Too many cooks spoil the broth

Food for thought, eh!

One I think very apt for Thailand.
Many hands make light work. !! Especially when their Thai electricians :lol :lol:

this proverb is not taught in schools
there is no jesting with edged tools
