British Citizenship.
Re: British Citizenship.
Hope this helps. British Citzenship is a further extension of what is commonly reffered to as the Green Visa. To get a Green Visa you have to study and take a Citizenship Examination if you pass and all other aspects of your application are approved a Green Visa will be granted for unlimited stay.
The next stage is to apply for British Citizenship if the applicant wishes to and this can be acheived 2 years after being awarded a Green Visa ( the timescale needs checking as my knowledge maybe out of date on this issue ).
The applicant for citizenship will not be thrown out of the country if they fail, they have permission to stay providing they comply with the rules regarding their Green Visa.
Note the Citizenship Examination is extremely difficult and many of us native born would have difficulty answering some of the questons without study, not to be taken lightly but it can be done and I have coached a couple of people who did pass first time but it was their desire to pass that made it possable.
