I don't follow Victorian politics too closely - is this the same Premier who won the past 3 elections, including at the end of last year ie post-Covid?

Won 3 elections in a row. Left on his own terms. Increased his majority each election. Labor majority in Victoria so great and the disfunction within the Tories so entrenched that labor pretty well guaranteed another 2 x 4 years terms, which will mean 20 years in power.
Victorian economy has boomed under his leadership and the rich have made piles and piles of money through property development and the general spending explosion that goes with economic growth. Government spending on infrastructure projects has pumped billions into the business sector again making the rich some of his biggest supporters. Tradies and working class people have progressed with jobs created and high wages paid. Not bad for a commie
I think he's also the first democratically elected dictator to resign on his own accord.
Of course he is hated by the red neck, racist, white trash, cooker, covid denying, Trump loving, tin foil hat wearing, fringe dwellers who make up about 5% of the population. But haters are always gonna hate.

What a load of rubbish. Victoria has had a weak and hopeless liberal party, easy to beat them. The only state to try and sell out Vict. to the ccp belt and road nonsense. 260 days of covid lockdown, the worse of any state and the brutal tactics by the cops on the public. Cancelling the Commonwealth games and costing around 360-400million in compensation, he would have known the costings when he put his hand up for the games. The suburban rail loop he said would be 50B now around 120B and the metro tunnel 2.5B overbudget. Moodies believe Vict debt to be over 200B by 2026. Vict. has a debt that is more than NSW,Qld and Sth Aust combined. Vict, the laughing stock of Australia.

Companies making money on big projects, hahhaaa, all borrowed money. What a fiscal bandit andrews had become, glad the mongrel is gone.

Jacinta Allen is the new premier of Victoria. The commie has been replaced by another commie. Don't know how we are going to survive with these radical bolsheviks running the state -

Mate of mine, who is so far from being a lefty it is not funny, has worked with Ms Allan, in his role as a senior management and civil engineer on one of the regional rail link projects here in Victoria. He says she is sharp as a tack, all over her portfolio and one of the most dedicated and hard working people he has worked with.
