2) Billy the hero by paper lace?

That Bill - SHE was not his wife! = Girlfriend.
This is 2022, I'm assuming she "identified herself" as a "wife" of nondescript gender :-"
OK fixed, but you know what I meant!

John quiz a lot easier than the Bill quiz. 8, 9 and 10 the only ones I have any idea about.

Spose it's a good thing when I get to learn something I didn't know. Never too old.

Here are some questions with a Bkk flavour.

1. Who penned the infamous Bangkok Post column Nite Owl?

2. Who wrote/writes the Bangkok Post column Old Crutch?

3. Where in Bkk would I go to catch a bus to Pattaya? (yes there is more than one answer but if I were staying in central bkk where would I go?)

4. Where in Bkk would I go to catch a bus to Udon?

5. Where in Bkk would I catch a train going to Udon?

6. What would I watch at Rajadamnern Stadium?

7. Whose house is at 6 Kasem San Soi 2, Wang Mai, Pathum Wan, Bangkok 10330, Thailand?

8. Where in Bangkok would I find the NEP?

9. What happens at MBK?

10. Name three Bangkok hotels named after cities in the USA.

Bonus question: Where in Bangkok did the backpackers hang out before Khoa San Road became all the rage?
