You deserve everything you get, if you were not such an arrogant no it all people would back off, look at what you had to say above, if you chilled out and listened to alternate opinions things would be different for you, instead you claim to no everything, I am sure you have had this reaction from people all your life, it's totally up to you to chill and listen to others instead of being the teacher...
You are always entitled to your opinion.

I'm not crying about all these attacks. I don't care. You're all looking pretty foolish coming after me with all the name-calling because YOU refuse to accept the facts that I provide, or my experiences, or my opinions. Maybe the name-callers should chill and respond to the information instead of doing all of their name-calling. But I'm not complaining. You're making fools of yourselves with that junior high foolishness.

I have said that I understand why people who do not come from societies where firearms are legal feel the way they do about guns and think everyone should give them up. I've only provided the reasons why it doesn't happen. I don't condone violence. I don't condone reckless use of firearms. I DO wish to protect the rights of law-abiding Americans. You don't like that, I'm okay with your opinion. Other than the "haters" who are forever hating America and Trump, I don't play the name-calling game.

If you equate providing facts with arrogance, that's your business. I don't know everything, but I express myself on topics that I do know about. If that bothers you, that's also your business. If you mean "chill" as in accept bs, I'll never do that; and I think that you should stick with what you know -- and you DON'T know me.

Have a good one, fatbob. I can disagree with people and not insult them. I've done it throughout this thread -- even ignored most of the personal insults. So maybe you and your name-calling buddies should chill and stick to the topic.

Have a good evening. :)

I am sat with some Thai University Students & asked them to find out the definition of the word Dedious.
Took them approx 2 min.
When I told them Farang could not find the definition even though it was his own language & posted a comment about it being non existent their reply was
HE MUST BE STUPID which is probably correct.
Enough said
I am sat with, that is probably the worst English I have ever heard and you are calling others stupid? That is very funny.

As nothing but an extension of the weapon's stock, it is a firearm part no different than a scope. For that reason, it is not regulated as a firearm under the Gun Control Act or the National Firearms Act.

The bump stock only harnesses a weapon's recoil. They are lawful.

Those are the facts.
A few more facts:

Unlike automatic firearms, which fire continuously while the trigger is pulled, semi-automatic weapons fire one round per trigger-pull. The bump stock harnesses the recoil energy produced when a shot is fired from a semi-automatic rifle, and it "bumps" the weapon back and forth between the shooter's shoulder and trigger finger.

Since the shooter's finger is still pulling the trigger for each shot, the firearm technically remains a semi-automatic, even as it achieves a rate of fire similar to that produced by an automatic.

In the 2017 Las Vegas shooting, twelve bump fire stock devices were found at the scene. The National Rifle Association conceded on 5 October 2017 that "Devices designed to allow semi-automatic rifles to function like fully-automatic rifles should be subject to additional regulations"

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/10/05/us/l ... oting.html

Bump stocks were banned in New York with the passage of the NY SAFE Act in 2013. In his final day as governor in January 2018, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie signed legislation making the gun accessory illegal in New Jersey.

Yes, states can do as they wish as long as they don't infringe on the right itself. There will always be about 5 or 6 states and a dozen or so cities that will be extreme in their gun measures.

In Chicago, they have some of the most stringent gun laws in the entire US and one of the highest per capita murder rates for cities. Only law-abiding citizens obey laws.

In California, there were some school districts that trained and allowed qualified teachers to be armed and also to arm on-site security on the school grounds to protect students. The California legislature blocked it from happening.

With all of the hundreds of gun owners that I know and with whom I'm acquainted, I don't know one single owner who owns a bump stock or cares about it. I would consider it a fringe accessory. A gun owner would have to have some need to enhance their firing by lessening recoil. Doesn't affect me or the owners who I know.

What kind of Country do you live in if your School teachers have to be trained to handle fire arms ?? why do you feel its your right to own an AK47 or an assault rifle ?? LS please do not go into a long post about the reasons for owning these. The Police are there to " Protect " and serve. Its a simple question.

Vlad
Maybe a person on the other side of Lone Star such as myself can answer why many in the USA want guns and other things
Because
1)They like them, guns plain and simple. They like to go out and shoot them, walk down the street with a sidearm, go to gun shows, showoff
2) People who have swimming pools, why because they want to
3) People who go out and get drunk because they like to
4) People who build houses with 5 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, 2 kitchens because they like to
5) People who own Boats (which actually stands for Bring On Another Thousand) why because they like them

There is not definitive answer as to WHY. BUT and I mean BUT with gun ownership in any country come consequences and in the case of the USA they will have shootings of people, children, police officers etc

So if you don't want to get hurt don't go there

I've stated on numerous occasions that the US is a free society. With that openness and freedom comes responsibility. Lawbreakers are irresponsible. Americans do not believe in punishing everyone for the sins of a few. The breakdown in all of this comes through lack of enforcement and punishment.

Just like it is necessary to hire private security in banks, it is necessary to hire private security in schools when they become targets. Schools are GUN FREE ZONES. That prevents even a law-abiding gun owner from possessing one on campus. Leftists created that phony idea. As a result of that, GUN FREE ZONES are now targets because the criminals know they won't be confronted with deadly force.

Teachers don't HAVE to be trained. They volunteer for that task.

So you want to know answers to why I think it's my right to own an AK47, but then you say "please do not go into a long post about the reasons for owning these."

I don't own an AK47, nor do I want to own one. Fully automatic weapons are restricted by the federal government and possession of one is against the law without having gone through federal clearance and paid applicable taxes for the gun stamp.

Please define "assault rifle". This is the third time that I have asked someone that question in this thread. No answer yet. "Assault rifle" is another one of those terms ginned up by the Left that has no meaning.

Police can't be everywhere, and even law enforcement authorities promote and encourage private gun ownership because they KNOW they can't be everywhere and respond quickly enough.

I agree 99.9% with the majority of what you posted. Some gun owners are just collectors. Rarely go to the range. They just admire the craftsmanship. However, it is a risk to openly display them -- even in the home. It makes that home a target.

I don't know any responsible, law-abiding gun owners who feel the way you stated in #1. Those with concealed carry permits are discreet. Very few places allow what is called "open carry" and even in places where it is allowed, it is rarely seen. Guns aren't toys to responsible owners.

"So if you don't want to get hurt don't go there" -- I would classify it another way. "If you're afraid, don't go there." There are crime risks everywhere in the world -- even where guns aren't allowed.

Come on LS you know what an Assault Rifle is and most own them So don't go into you need this you need that to own them. Us Brits in my Country have seen enough u tube videos of walking into a gun store in Vegas to buy one. Our Police are not armed to protect us we do have trained response units that are armed and if needed these are called on. If Doodo's post is the way most of you feel in your country then God help you, and like Fatbob says you deserve everything you get if thats your way of thinking. Untill the next shooting " Be seeing you ".

Sorry I missed your post. Mine will likely do as much good as yours. The rabid democrats don't like facts and truth. They only are able to participate in hatred and lies.
