Just got the fittings I've been waiting for. There AN fittings that go from the oil pump up to a oil filter mounted inside the car where the rear seat used to be along side the fuel tank
After this is hooked up just wire the alt. and put on and adjust the carb. linkage and then it's startup time
Oh as soon as I can get the digital camera away from our room mate I'll post more pictures ![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)

Is it just me or are the locals driving a lot slower now that the price has risen sharply?I can go for days now without being overtaken at 100/110 kph. Before there was an endless queue of cars cpming up in the rear view mirror.I think we will see a reported fall in petrol/diesel consumption this month.

IMO the price of diesel will hit 25 Baht in the next few days then 30 Baht within a month.
Can I just say this does not effect our farang pockets much but it certainly hits the Thais and I can see the crime rate increasing dramatically. Had a farang friend's wife rolled a few days ago for the gold she was wearing.

Why does it not hit the farang pockets much ?
Irrespective of my previous financial situation. Unlike many Thais - I do not have a job here, I do not get a 30 baht health scheme, there are no cheap discounted loans for me and I am still made to pay 10 times the price of a Thai if I want to visit a National Park or Water Park etc.
yes it hits me just as much as it hits Thai people
There is such a stigma here that Farang = Loaded, therefore will pay any price for anything.
For the record though - yes I do live here quite comfortably, but that is due to my past and has no bearing on my day to day living expenses.

And wouldn't you just know it, Fuel went up AGAIN yesterday.
Was it a wise decision to remove the subsidy at a time when fuel prices were so unstable - its almost a double increase.
I have certainly noticed that the neighbours are using their motorbike more than their car now, especially on the daily school run.
Where is the end gonna be?
