Firstly , UK did not vote to leave the EEC, it voted to leave the European Union.
Whereas IMO. the EEC was a beneficial trading block , the EU became involved in trying to control all aspects of peoples lives. The EU never posted a budget account, and millions of cash went unaccounted for.
The common agricultural policy and to a large extent The common fisheries policy benefited only France.
If the unelected UK civil service supported by MSM and of course the unelected House of Lords had accepted the will of the majority instead of blocking it at every turn, then Brexit would have been successful.
Absolutely. Well said.

Plus the UK was a net contributor, the EU an unelected body, was making all the rules to suit itself and we were paying for most of it.

Britain did not have to implement BREXIT in order to reset the terms of it's membership if it had followed through with the renegotiated terms of membership. in 2013 David Cameron successfully built a non binding resolution to change these terms, Britain had already opted out of some regulations by that time.

To make the new terms binding, it had to pass Britain's parliament and that of other member countries. Brexit jumped the gun, foolishly in my view. They could have gotten what they wanted and remained in the union. They threw the baby out with the bathwater.
Best being part of this forum by placing the intellectual challenged on foes list. A lot less post to read and a great time saver.

Fundamentally correct. Cameron commissioned the Brexit vote solely to settle Tory infighting, crush internal dissent and bolster his position within the party at a time when Labour were self-destructing over Corbynism. There was probably nobody more surprised than himself when the great, uninformed and unwashed gave him the result he never imagined. Ever since, it's been a steady Stuka-dive for the Conservatives, regardless of how many useful idiots they serially vote into #10.
