Orchids freely hybridise so making it impossible to ever catalog all of them, you could literally catalog one every few days forever and you still won't find all of them

Or most are too lazy to cook , and eat out .
Most are bordering obese , so they must surely spend more than 10% on all food consumed , but the stat is inconclusive i guess .
Re: Yes it really happened
1) The world’s richest 2,153 people controlled more money than the poorest 4.6 billion combined in 2019, while unpaid or underpaid work by women and girls adds three times more to the global economy each year than the technology industry, Oxfam said
2) Americans consume over 2 billion cookies a year.
3) Santa Claus eats an estimated 336,150,386 cookies on Christmas Eve. (This information received from Mrs Claus)
4) Girl Scouts sell 200 million boxes of cookies a year.
5) A person living in the United Arab Emirates didn’t have a world record in mind when buying the most expensive cake ever purchased, when they were looking for something unique for their daughter’s birthday. That is exactly what happened; however, when cake designer, Debbie Wingham received a phone call that would change her life forever. Debbie designed the cake to look like a fashion runway; and with it being 1.8 meters (6 foot long), it appears that way, along with models (who you can eat), and wearing fashionable clothes and accessories, which are also edible. The majority of the cost came in when an abundance of gemstones were added, including $45 million worth of multi-colored diamonds. This 75 million dollar cake is now the record-holder for the most expensive cake in the world.

1) In the early 1900s, Mary Isabel Fraser visited China and brought back seeds to New Zealand. She grew the first crop of kiwi in 1910. Today, New Zealand produces 1/3 of the world’s supply of kiwi.
2) There are 10 million alpacas in the world, and three-quarters of them live in Peru
3) In 1885, the Coca Cola Company in Georgia began making a wine with coca leaves that was converted into a soft drink known as Coca Cola. By 1903, public outcry over the ill effects of cocaine forced the company to remove the coca leaves from its recipe for the drink, and it became more or less the soft drink millions enjoy today
4) In the wake of the Revolutionary War, the fledgling American nation found itself saddled with debt. To help pay off the country’s obligations, a federal tax on liquor was established. Given that much of the point of fighting the revolution in the first place was to escape the imperialist taxes instituted by the British monarchy, the citizens were furious, and most people continued to distill their own whiskey without giving the government its cut.In response, tax collectors were sent out. These men often received warm welcomes: Many of them were beaten, tarred, and feathered. Within three years, there was a riot. Angry farmers destroyed the home of a tax inspector in July 1974, eventually leading to the Whiskey Rebellion in western Pennsylvania. A militia force led by Secretary of the Treasury Alexander Hamilton and Virginia Governor Henry Lee (the father of Confederate leader Robert E. Lee) was forced to stamp out the rebel movement. They succeeded on the surface, but really only served to drive whiskey distillers farther underground. Thomas Jefferson would later repeal the hated whiskey excise tax, and folks were free to make their own for another 60 years or so. Then, in a classic case of history repeating itself, the massive expense of the Civil War brought back the liquor taxes.

In July of 1794, a force of 400 disaffected whiskey rebels, mainly from Washington County, attacked and destroyed the home of a tax inspector just south of Pittsburgh.

1) SYRACUSE, NEW YORK TRIED TO MAKE SNOW ILLEGAL.
America’s snowiest major city has an impressive arsenal of plows, but in 1992 it tried a new trick to control white stuff. The city’s Common Council passed a decree that any more snow before Christmas Eve was illegal. As it turns out, Mother Nature is a scofflaw—it snowed just two days later.
2) IT'S A MYTH THAT NO TWO SNOWFLAKES ARE EXACTLY THE SAME.
In 1988, a scientist found two identical snow crystals. They came from a storm in Wisconsin.
3) THE MOST SNOW TO FALL IN A 24-HOUR PERIOD IN THE UNITED STATES IS 75.8 INCHES.In 1921, over six feet of snow fell between April 14 at 2:30 p.m. and April 15 at 2:30 p.m. in Silver Lake, Colorado.
4) IGLOOS CAN BE MORE THAN 100 DEGREES WARMER INSIDE THAN OUTSIDE.
And they’re warmed entirely by body heat. Since fresh, compacted snow is approximately 90 to 95 percent trapped air (meaning it can’t move and transfer heat) it’s a great insulator. Many animals, such as bears, dig deep holes in the snow to hibernate through the winter.
5) NOVA SCOTIA CANADA HOLDS THE RECORD FOR THE MOST SNOW ANGELS EVER MADE SIMULTANEOUSLY IN MULTIPLE LOCATIONS.
In 2011, 22,022 Nova Scotia residents in 130 separate locations all plopped down in the snow to make snow angels

Re: Yes it really happened
They didn't say anything about including tips, so the true figure is more likely to be 20+%

Re: Yes it really happened
1) Japan has the third longest life expectancy in the world with men living to 81 years old and women living to almost 88 years old. The Japanese live on average four years longer than Americans.
2) Japan has more than 3,000 McDonald’s restaurants, the largest number in any country outside the U.S
3) The Japanese eat more fish than any other people in the world, about 17 million tons per year. Japan is the world’s largest importer of seafood, with shrimp comprising about one third of the total, about four million tons a year. More than 20% of Japanese protein is obtained through fish and fish products.
4) Ninety percent of all mobile phones sold in Japan are waterproof because youth like to use them even while showering (Give me a break, in the Shower!?!?!?)
5) Japan and Russia still haven’t signed a peace treaty to end World War II due to a dispute over the Kuril Islands

Re: Yes it really happened
HO HO HO apparently so !!!!!
"Smartphones became popular in Japan years before they arrived on our shores – and they become such a cultural phenomenon that, according to Mashable, Japanese people couldn't help but take them into the shower."
"Waterproof smartphones are becoming more common in Western markets, but they are hardly the norm. In Japan however, almost all phones are waterproof, and have been for nearly a decade now. According to statistics, 90% to 95% of phones in Japan are waterproof, because people need to be able to use them while they are showering."
So whats your point?????????????

1) Yogi Berra won 13 World Series in 18 seasons with the Yanks. While, Babe Ruth only won four World Series in 15 seasons with the New York Yankees.
2) When asked why he didn’t win gold in cross country at the 2010 Olympics, Norwegian skier Odd-Bjoern Hjelmeset said, “I think I have seen too much porn in the last 14 days.”
3) China did not win an Olympic medal until 1984. At the 2008 Beijing games, the Chinese won 100 medals.
4) Around 25 billion pairs of waribashi (disposable chopsticks) are used in Japan each year. This is equivalent to the timber needed to build 17,000 homes
5) Japan is the largest automobile producer in the world, and the Japanese company Toyota is the third largest automaker in the world. It was founded by Kiichiro Toyoda who changed the “da” for “ta” because it sounds clearer. Also, written in Katakana script, “Toyota” uses 8 brush strokes, a number considered to be lucky in Japan
