When I introduce some strange new food and my wife asks me what it tastes like I just reply "Delicious!". That seems to work. Make some guacamole and let her taste that. My wife and all her relatives go crazy over it.
But more in line with the title of this thread, I was thinking...
"What if the Hokey Pokey really IS what it's all about?"

Colossians 2:8-10...See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, which are based on human tradition and the spiritual forces of the world rather than on Christ. For in HIM dwells all the fullness of the GODHEAD bodily; and you are complete in HIM, who is the head of all principality and power.

An Aussie guy just came back to Udon after 3-4 months in AUS and really did not
aspect that I'm still here.
He heard a lot of rumours/gossibs before he went back from Udon farangs mainly from the English speaking
countries.
I was thinking what kind of people they are in their own country before coming/living in Udon?

Insecure, always seeking affirmation of their value or importance while talking about everyone else but themselves. Now they are in LOS and totally unable to communicate with the locals, even with their wives, they frustratedly talk in grandiloquent terms to anyone in earshot about their own life achievements and quickly pour scorn on anyone who doesn't give a ---- what they think.harmonyudon wrote:An Aussie guy just came back to Udon after 3-4 months in AUS and really did not

As my granny would say, "If they aren't talking about you, they are probably talking about someone else."

A thing that has always caused me no amount of concern is regarding athletics and more to the point, how competing athletes transport their equipment. Absolutely no problem for runners, high jumpers, long jumpers, throwers - bag for shorts, singlet and trainers or whatever you call them.
I am guessing that only beginner sprinters will need their own starting blocks and I guess along with modern technology and ingenious engineering these will come in handy sized portable bags or boxes.
For many years my main concern has been for pole jumpers or vaulters, to perhaps use the right terminology.
I've observed athletes both in person, arriving for the 2008 Beijing Olympics and on the world media, entering world stadiums. Despite these very close observations I have never seen one of them carrying a pole or infact two poles, as at the very least a reserve pole would be needed in case of breakage or indeed in the highly possible outcome of the pole flying out of the stadium as it follows through after releasing the handler.
On my travels in Europe and Asia, I have never observed a pole or poles fixed to the thule(love that word)roof racks or any other make of roof rack, of cars, never observed a pole at baggage collection at airports. Infact how do they fit onto those conveyor belts that always seem to wind their way around pillars at airport baggage collection places. (isn't it good to observe fellow travellers stretching their necks and standing on tip toes to see if their bag is next through the rubber curtains - you can just tell that they are trying to con other travellers into thinking they've done all this before??)

5.7 litre hemi. Everyone that knows OT must know by now I am a petrol head. So, to make a change instead of buying a Austin Seven or Morris Minor I picked up a Dodge Charger straight out of the showroom here in Doha. Now OT is going to be broke for around 36 months.

Inappropriate, that's something OT has been thinking about. Since a WFB asked me what it was I found attractive about her and I pointed at her bigtitties and she replied that was inappropriate.

I have been thinking about the Higgs Bosun, and wonder if it can explain the origin of protons, neutrons and electrons. That explanation would go some way in explaining the origins of the universe.

A scientist explained it on TV a few days ago by holding up a tray of ping pong balls (atoms).....all rolling around.......just loose atoms.....no universe. Add a dash of Higgs Bosun (a few scoops of sand) and suddenly the ping pong balls set in place (aka The Universe). Any other explanation is way over my head.

So, let me see if i've got this right ...... the next wave to hit the beach (universe), moves all the sand away, and we all have to hang on for dear life as the earth starts hurtling around the tray again

A Canadian scientist explained it by lighting a candle. He said the flame is too hot for anything to live, but the smoke is cooler; and, above the smoke is cooler still. The upshot, according to him is that we, and everything else in the universe is the smoke.
He added that the higgs bosun theory does not explain how the protons, electrons and neutrons got there.[googlevideo]http://www.cbc.ca/player/News/ID/2253308002/[/googlevideo]
I am not sure if this will play, but I got it by going to google.ca and typing in, Bob McDonald explains the Higgs Bosun theory. It contains the 'candle' explanation.
