I remember seeing some wheelbarrows along Phoasi Road, a little South of the Railroad tacks. You may spot them along there. I was after one myself, but recently came to realize that, while I had wheelbarrows at my previous homes in the U.S. for nearly 30 years running, I must have gotten a total of 5 hours use out of them all those years. Its not like I was operating a farm, for crying out lout. Most of my property that was not paved over was covered with grass. Very little need for a wheelbarrow for the few square meters of vegetable gardens that I actually tended all those years. Now, I am contented to carry the few kg of dirt and soil amendments in a bucket. So much easier to store.
"Maurice Gosfield, who played Private Duane Doberman on The Phil Silvers Show, also provided the voice for Benny the Ball in Top Cat"
I don't know if any of you caught the episode on SGT. Bilko (The Phil Silvers Show) when they brought Gosfield out in drag as Doberman's sister. It was hilarious . Remember, this was the 1950's and only Milton Berle had appeared in drag on U.S. national television up to that time. It wasn't that long until John Davidson would do so as well, but by then it was old hat. How likely was it that Thomas Seebeck would be able to find that junctions of dissimilar metals would be able to produce voltage gradients of mere microvolts per degrees C, as early as the early 1880's? The art of temperature measurement was still in its infancy, as was the art of the measurement of voltage potential. Yet, we have this phenomenon to thank for keeping the pilot lights lit on millions of gas water heaters across Europe and the U.S. We need to remember that the ghost of Martin Murphy was first documented in the City of Sunnyvale's 1956 Panorama of Progress brochure, but it was discussed as a possible explanation of the Sunnyvale Toys R Us haunting investigation. If Mary Lincoln had been less insane, and if Abraham Lincoln had not had Marfan's disease, would the U.S. Ciivil War have turned out differently? Nobody knows, but what of Don Adams, who played Maxwell Smart on "Get Smart" and who supplied the voice of Inspector Gadget? Did we really care that he was a close friend of Hugh Heffner? No, we did not really care at all.

Mrs Slocombe's pussy shocks US
US TV bosses have banned Mrs Slocombe’s pussy — as too shocking for Americans.
The British sitcom Are You Being Served? faces being toned down or even axed because of the double entendre jokes.
Typical lines from the 30-year-old show set in a department store include Molly Sugden as Mrs Slocombe, below, saying: “It’s a wonder I’m here at all. My pussy got soaking wet. I had to dry it out in front of the fire.”
The moral clampdown follows Janet Jackson’s nipple-revealing performance at the 2004 Superbowl.
Some viewers sued networks, claiming they were upset.
US Public Broadcasting Service exec Doug Myrland said: “We’re worried. British sitcoms are problematic — they thrive on double entendre.”
US channels are also beeping out swearwords in UK shows such as Prime Suspect.

must of been a quote from the UK based newspaper.JimboPSM wrote:BM, was that actually a quote from part of the US media? I've never heard it referred to before as anything other than "A wardrobe malfunction".beer monkey wrote: ............
