Re: Favourite Music.
1955 to 1960 or so was the best era for rock and roll.

Re: Favourite Music.
Although this song is often associated with Elvis, Carl wrote Blue Suede Shoes and it became a big hit for him

Re: Favourite Music.
This is Elvis performing Blue Suede Shoes in a screen test for Paramount in 1956. The guitar has no strings. Elvis always said Carl's version was the best. It is sad for me to say but there is no copy of me singing Blue Suede Shoes for my Grade Five class in 1956.

I saw Moody Blues in person in Atlantic City and Toronto. They put on a good show.

Janis Ian wrote her first hit single, Society's Child, at 14. Here's a performance from 1967, when she was 16.

Re: Favourite Music.
Yer dont get proper lyrics in todays music
"'Old it, flash, bang, wallop, what a picture
What a picture, what a photograph
Poor old soul, blimey, what a joke
Hat blown off in a cloud of smoke
Clap 'ands, stamp yer feet
Bangin' on the big bass drum
What a picture, what a picture
Um-tiddly-um-pum-um-pum-pum
Stick it in your fam'ly album"

'Ballin' the Jack' by Dagmar. She was more than just an entertainer: "In 1950s auto design, the slang term Dagmar bumper emerged to describe dual pointed chrome projections on the front ends of Cadillacs, Buicks, Packards, and other U.S. automobiles, an allusion to the actress's physique and trademark attire."[- wiki

Best being part of this forum by placing the intellectual challenged on foes list. A lot less post to read and a great time saver.

Re: Favourite Music.
Listening to all these great tunes, can't help but remember back to the late sixties early seventies,
I was lucky to see alot of the legends at the Festival's that were held at that time, often free entry, under the wire over the fence, or very cheap to get in.
Just look at the lineup for my local Festival at Weeley, Essex, UK
