This years festival will be held although in a very much reduced manner on March 1st- 3rd.Lots and lots of Mangoes though, plus Miss mango contest and morlam in the evening. Come along and give your support to this very worthy cause they are in much need of more funds after the last two years cancellations.

Just like to correct my previous post. Due to various things, there is no Morlam or any late night music this year, but the miss mango competition is still on. come along enjoy yourself and contribute to a very worthy cause. The Red Cross ladies work very hard to take care of the poorer members of our society. Starting 1st March in the village of Nong Wai.

Just like to thank Parrott (John) for popping in to the Red Cross stand yesterday and saying hello to the wife, sorry she didn't recognise you straight away., it's so difficult with all these masks on, and many thanks on behalf of the Red Cross for your generous donation towards the good things in helping the local community.

Glad to help out. We bought a boatload of mangos and a small bottle of chan rong honey (ผึ้งชันโรง) (https://www.nstda.or.th/agritec/categor ... %E0%B8%87/) considered an elixir with the old folks. When we returned from the fair and I talked with our gardener about these particular bees, he pointed out 2 small hives just developing in our yard. Pricey stuff!!

It's that time again, this year from 29th_31st March.After 2 years restricted we are back to full normal this year which means the 1st night there is Thai dancers followed by Miss Mango competition the next and finally on the last night Mor Lam.During the whole 3 days of course mango's of all sizes by the bucket load, fun fair for the kids and stalls selling everything including the usual; Thai snacks . Of course the big attraction is the Red Cross tent with it's lucky draw, every ones a winner from a Cola to a new fridge.
Anyone wishing to help out this very worthy cause can still make a donation to the prizes on offer,it's not too late .anything from a pkt of noodles to a fridge and all sizes in between.Can take to the red cross office in Nong Wau So amphur in Non Wai where you will find my wife most days if she isn't there any of the staff will be happy to take them on her behalf .A taste of things donated so far

Alternatively those that know where I live , just round the corner can pop them into me, you may even get a free coffee

In the grounds of the Amphur on the main road you can't miss it, visitors cars aren't allowed in but plenty of spaces all around the site/

Well still 5 days to go before the official start of this years Mango fair on the 29th but most of the plant nursery stalls are already in place on the road outside and many of the local mango farmers have started to sell some really delicious fruits as well, at really cheap prices .Its really worth a trip out here now, there's even a fun fair every night for the kids, I know because it keeps me awake, good job it's only once a year .

Well all the hard work is finished ready for the opening of this years mango festival tomorrow.

It looks real good girls ,just hope the customers flock in to spend their money to, help the many good causes over the nest year.
