Wow, this thread is a complete joke, out of context quotes, please get your facts from the news and cease this speculation, it is insulting to the intelligence of man kind, RIP to the young lady who has had her life terminated at a very young age and may her murderer rot in hell.

I worked this person for the past 4 weeks. He is an American who committed his crime in Phuket March this year. He caught the 69 train with me on Friday the 9 of May. He was residing in a hotel near the bus station since May 10. His Education (fake) Visa expired on Monday 3rd June. He obtained the services of a local solicitor to arrange for a new Visa. The police and immigration were aware of this man. I last saw him on Thursday around 5pm. He was arrested in his hotel room on Thursday evening. Now I know why he didn't arrive at work yesterday (Friday). Some of the posts re this incident are ridiculous. Any further information, send me a private message.

My wife mentioned hearing about this today and I was wondering if it was the American suspected of murdering his 19 year-old girlfriend in Pattaya back in March. His name was never released by the authorities and the only reference to his age was his being almost twice as old as his victim, so say in his forties. The wife says her news source said the guy arrested was 48. I it is him, a pretty evil customer to top his bird and then just head to the boonies and take up teaching.

What a loser. It seems he managed to evade the Thai police for a while. I wonder if he had some help. It would seem that the Udon police were keeping an eye open for the ***** and that he's already in hell. He's reportedly tried to commit suicide a couple of times. He probably has some form back home.

To answer the point about my comment, let ut this incident into some sort of context.
A fOREIGNER has been arrested for the alleged murder of a 19 year old girl ( wife or not matters not ) . She was found in a black plastic bag on the roof of where she lived.
Police enquires eventually led to the arrest of this ' Tim ' fellow in Udon Thani.
Anything else is pure speculation as to whether he had help, whether he has previous from his own country, in fact everything as , to date he has not been found guilty of the offence and in reality we do not know what has actually happened.
Circumstantial evidence shows the arrested man to be the main culprit. My comment about sinking so low is then apt. No man whatever the reason should do that to any human being let alone a 19 yr old.
I said it before RIP to the young girl and to the offender if found guilty may he get his just desserts while in a wonderful luxurious Thai Gaol.

They were still talking about the incident last neet in D&N,will this reopen the question of at least doing some sort of background checks on farang teachers or was it the fact that his name came up on records hence finding him in Udonsville

Seems that the Thai police is doing their job quite well finding a wanted person. He could have been fled anywhere in Thailand. In many hotels and guesthouses they don't ask you to register.

In the previous case of the German murderer, who also cut his hair and hoped that no one recognized him, police found/arrested him elsewhere pretty fast.

If you're thinking of murdering someone I think you under-estimate the Thai police at your peril. Most farang who marry a young babe less than half their age probably have problems. I recommend the grown up solution. Uncle GT says if it's no good walk away and start your life again. No need to try the Lord Lucan solution. Is he also hanging out in Udonthani?

He was nicked in Khon Khaen I believe a few days after and is doing time now - he initially got 18 years but because he admitted it, that was reduced to 9. Life is cheap and he stabbed the woman 17 times if I remember correctly in an Udon Internet Cafe.
