Monk shot dead in Udon Thani

The national newspapers are inept in their reporting this story. Supposedly the executive director Borbuk of Aek Udon has a number of wives. One of these wives went to the temple for meditation. She was a former Dr. at Aek Supposedly Borbuk was jealous and thought the monk and his wife were lovers. He spent 50 million ฿ to hire and payoff the police. As per usual for the rich nobody can find him. Apparenly his first wife is another Dr. at Aek has been covering for him.

Amount paid now named as 300,000THB with 50,000THB of that going to the trigger man using a modified shotgun capable of firing M-16 rounds.

Streuth. Assuming the BIB have the offenders, Banjerd Chatphaithoon must be one of the biggest losers in Udon. I presume a bloke like that can afford half a dozen mia nois if he wanted and he probably has a couple.

Perhaps it's loss of face. His privileged mates thought his Mrs. was a bit close to the deceased and this was driving him nuts. So he ruins his life because he's overwhelmed by jealousy and shame? If convicted I hope he gets put away for a long stretch. At least as long as the hitman who got sod all of the 300,000.

Did see 2 mercedes with 9999 numberplates arrive there just before on route to collect food at Gourmet,maybe they were the last cars to be placed in the auction lot

I wouldn't be counting your Mercs or wheelchairs before they hatch .......... after all, you are looking at an interaction between a (probably) very rich man, and the Thai "justice" system.

Yes, the hitman and cop will probably get pinged hard. Offing a respected monk must make it more difficult even for a very wealthy man to escape the claws of justice but we know a lot of money speaks very loudly.

The general will swear he just sent the SGM to spy on the wife to help out the rich guy.

The Rich guy will swear he paid the SGM just to follow the mia noi and never ever told him to have the monk killed. He'll be detained for a while then quietly get bail and fight it all in a number of courts for 12-15 years.

The SGM will take the heat, plead guilty and get 10 years for confessing and providing cooperation with the authorities.

The shooter and other guy involved will get tacked to the wall..

Police Chief moved on now.

My neighbour is a Surgeon at AEK , cant wait to get back home from work, and offer up a good red, to ply his lips.

Dr Kaew's clinic remains closed and as a good mia noi so should her mouth perhaps
