Plans Afoot for Another Cultural/Sport Center

City officials met with various Udon parties on 17 July to discuss an Isaan Cultural/Sports complex on 938 rai of land located in Tamboon Kutsa (กุดสระ), Udon, first proposed to the city council in Feb. 2555. The complex would include sporting, meeting, cultural, art, and trade facilities.

According to city officials, there are two 'mega-projects' in the planning stages. One is the Sport Center planned just north train tracks on the Nongkai Highway......and the outer ring road. Anyone with any plans for a home or other longterm activity in either of the two areas would be wise to consider how things might change in those areas.

parrot, I was warned 10 yrs ago that there was going to be a gigantic sports entertainment complex built in that area, and there would be massive road works as they were going to build an overpass at the Tesco lights ..... perhaps I WILL see it in my lifetime.

so I take it the 2nd photo of the paving already completed, which is just north of the Ring Road Nong Khai side intersection (east side) is prep work for the "sports complex.??" Any more info on when the 2nd ring road will break ground??
