Opera coming to Udon Thani

Looking for a Black-Tie event to attend in Udon. Main event Organizer The Japan Foundation will host Opera Theatre "Konnyakuza" May 22 - 28 in Udon Thani. For event times and information contact Japan Foundation in Bangkok.

Also the Japan International Volunteer Center will host "Discover the Lifestyle ! Exchange Program in a Thai Rural Village" starting August 1 in Khon Koen.

Meanwhile, the Thai Festival 2007 was held in Tokyo an annual two-day cultural fair at Yoyogi Park in Shibuya Ward this weekend. Traditional dance groups as well as Thai Pop Stars including Thanaporn Wagprayoon (Parn) and Modern Dog performed at the event, while Thai food was served at more than 40 open-air stalls and Thai body painting booth proved popular among the Japanese students.

Commemorating the 120th anniversary of the signing of Japan-Thai amity Declaration in 1887 a special booth displayed photos depicting the history of the two nations.
