That's a horrible, rough, narrow and convoluted route at night. Chock full of racing unlit motorbikes with 3 (or more) up cutting up the odd foreigner who's only trying to avoid the usual police checkpoints on the way home.

That looks suspiciously like the roads that now have gaping open sewer holes without any warnings along both sides.
I guess it’s preparation for the resurfacing

they were doing work at the Nong Bua sport facility for months already. One day in passing saw what appear to be a relatively small 1.5 meter boring machine.. Perhaps there will be enough drainage in the new piping to keep the road near Nong Bua Market from getting 30cm of water every downpour... If it is cleared regularly of debris....
