It must be so everyone can hear the beer bar music,6 speakers, 1 speaker for each bar playing different distorted music at the same same time, and another erection to the right will provide another 6 bars.trubirt wrote:

Thanks for posting the pics trubrit.
The Nutty Park development outlook looks a bit grim, and looks like the developer has bought a house knocked it down and built on the land.
Those speakers in front of UDAN look huge, and look like they can pump out some serious wattage. No more quiet early nights for guests at the Irish Clock and the Top Mansion. Last time I saw a rig like that was on Gerry Anderson's "Stingray" The opening credits "Anything can happen in the next half hour". Big speaker towers sounding out a alert to the sound of furious drumming.

Sorry can't find anything specific to this site. Not surprising really as its apparently a redevelopment of an existing building. Thus it would fall into an entirely different category. However I can give you a few pointers that may answer your question. You will notice next door, the barbecue place, has no permanent construction, it could be demolished, literally , over night. This whole area, down to and including the night market is restricted to"short time" development.(Unfortunate phrase that, can;t think of better though!)stattointhailand wrote:Trubrit, do you know if "Nutty Park" has the same status (3 yr review)?
I had with me, when I took the photos, a building surveyor, who estimated the entire cost of construction of the Nutty development, at less than 200k bht. . So obviously it is not seen as a long term investment.
Not sure of the reason for your interest, but if it is personal involvement, I would, as is so often advised on this forum, consult some legal advise before parting with any of the hard earned stuff. That is equally as true with bars as it is with the ladies.
A personal aside, not directly connected to any particular development.
In the past it has been proven that the sale of a bar lease has reaped greater rewards than the years spent running it as a bar. This rule of thumb is greatly diminished by short leases, over supply of unwanted bars and finally, the ever increasing awareness of potential buyers to the pitfalls of becoming a "publican" in LOS!
At first look I thought it was Pop's and maybe he was studying an offer sheet from Mr Tong to set up a new satellite internet shop on the site. A kernel of an idea to set up Pop-Pop's #2 at the UDAN, Cliff? Just bars and a few restaurants there. The old supply and demand might apply here.beer monkey wrote:I this bloke dead...?
