The Udon Map di-k brigade in action yet again.

Out of context again Trubrit, not what I said at all, The Thai media or Pattaya One News etc, yes a lot of crap, although you obviously hold that type of press in high regard, as you seem to be on the same wave length.

Your words exactly" western media would NOT show such crap.Unless your understanding of the English language is different to mine, you described the content not the media source.Anyway you appear to be alone in your indignation so lets drop it shall we .

As Ronan said was "there a reason for this unfortunate woman doing this to herself"?

I like Coxo did not open the link as it is not the sort of thing I want to be exposed to, my choice naturally, it is very sad that she would do this and no one close in her life recognised her problem or plight or just chose to ignore her.

What sadly does come out of this from my perspective as a person who, well and trully reached adulthood, prior to mobile phones even being invented is the use of phone and iPad cameras to reveal actual events as they transpire and sent worldwide in a nano second that would never have even been known about except through the TV and print media that night or next morning.

I concur Barney. I was recently in Chengdu visiting the Panda Research Base when one of the pandas took a dislike to a sub teen girl and grabbed her long hair without any intention of letting go. Someone within the group of onlookers rather than going to the aid of the young girl, yelled out to a friend to get the incident on their mobile phone. It is truly amazing the depths that some of our 'superior' human beings will sink to.

Someone mentioned, "I hope she lives." This raises a moral question of whether people should be allowed to end their own lives. I believe they should, and in that regard, I hope she doesn't. But its sad to see someone so distraught and in so much pain. There must be a better way.

So sorry to hear how this has affected you personally, maaka.

Back when I was a law enforcement officer, I was certified as a Suicide Threat Response Supervisor. One of the things they taught in training is that people who truly want to end their lives are most likely to do so quietly, without a word to anyone, and without being affected by anything external to themselves.
