Khon Kaen People's Alliance Ready for Gathering on Feb 15

Supporters of the People's Alliance for Democracy in Khon Kaen Province insist they are ready for the political concert on February 15th, and welcome PAD members from across the country.

People's Alliance for Democracy or PAD supporters in Khon Kaen Province insist they are prepared for the political concert on February 15th, and they welcome PAD members from across the country. Those who intend to participate in a political caravan in Udon Thani Province on February 14th are urged to travel there and return to join activities in Khon Kaen Province on February 15th.

Leader of the Khon Kaen PAD, Panit Tiasawad revealed that the event venue has been changed from the provincial stadium to the 200 years park at Kaen Nakon Lake, since the Khon Kaen Provincial Administrative Organisation did not allow the use of the venue. It's estimated that the park can accommodate approximately 5,000 people.

Panit added more than 90 percent of the preparations are complete, with tickets being sold at the ASTV headquarters in Khon Kaen Province and at three PAD-supporter shops; Dinosoft, First Colour Lab, and PAD Brotherhood Restaurant. Tickets are 200 baht each.

Concerning safety measures, the Khon Kaen PAD leader said he has submitted statements requesting help from the police, which have been met with cooperation. He said there will also be volunteer guards in Khon Kaen and nearby provinces.

The Khon Kaen PAD will also participate in the Udon Thani's event on February 14th.

Yor oK on the 15 th they will be in Khon Kean. Doesn't say they are coming into Udon City just Udon Provience in a caravan. So maybe not doesn't hurt to know whats goign on.

Seems to me that a proclamation by the city gov't that they would not provide security for the concert or any other incitable events,might give the groups reason to pause and change their actions.
Afterall,why should the city pick up the extra expense for an event that is only going to cause disruption!

You would think that with advance notice given,someone in gov't would have enough sense to see that nothing good would come from the event!!

This seems a missed opportunity for the new gov't to take actionto help calm the divide amongst the people of the Nation!

I don't care to speculate about the reasons they are not taking action,as I don't know anymore about their reasons than any other outsider!

Intereseting this went from a Concert in Khon Kean and a caravan Udon Provence to a concert in Nam Prajak Park.

Anothre thread is talking an bout the UDD beign in Bangkok on the same day for protest. maybe the ywain wonl meet.

In any event I'm headed to some sort of event in Ban Chaing tomorrow, with some local bikers. Don't know what it is and don't care rather beign dopng that them the PAD concert thats for sure. Or anywhere near it
