According to the article, Udon suffered no traffic fatalities over the 7 day New Year holiday - 29 December - 4 Jan. In fact, the article claims only 44 accidents involving 50 injuries.
I've searched for any online info concerning the Swede and his daughter who (reportedly) both died in a motorcycle accident in the Nonghan area on 29 Dec. Nothing.
Something tells me the numbers above are the result of some smoke and mirrors reporting.

Yes definitely padding the stats. There was a motor biker killed in Nong Wau Sor over the holiday period. I was away so can't be sure what day. It has only just been recorded in the records as happening after, plus the Udon news when giving the details today of the clean sheet, mentioned, said, not including Farang casualties. So it appears we literally don't count for much when it suits them. :-"
Ageing is a privilige denied to many .
