We rent a safety deposit box from the bank for the wife's Tong, and Chanotes. This year my drill was (borrowed) stolen by one of the family freeloaders. When I wanted to use it for some work on the roof of our shophouse, I could not find the drill in it's box. I went apesh*t.
The drill was returned the next day, with the casing smashed up and the motor burned out. No apology, just a pout from my wife because I dared kick up a fuss.
As more farangs move into Udon we will read more of these stories
Reminds me of the stuff you read in Pattaya Mail.

Nahh... He looks a little similar but not our own NT.Is this our ntvillas?
the suspect was seen trying to row away from the scene, but was'nt getting anywhere.a rowing machine,
so to sum up no matter how much security you have(if any)or secret hiddey holes if its an inside job you have no chance, but a good chance of catching the thief.... eventually minus the booty of course.

I believe that I have met him twice in Fidlers Green.
He wears most of the gold chains, most of the time...told me he wasn't worried about being mugged in Udon as he could 'take care of himself'.
Typical Thailand.... you think you have covered your a** completely & it manages to catch you out in a way that you never even considered....

Meet him several times in January and February at the regular farang bars at the soi, and Down Under. A real gold fetish, wear a lot of gold. However, 1 000 000 Bt worth the gold? That is (what?) 90 bath or 1350 grams, could bePaul wrote:Does anybody know this guy? ever seen him, heard of him or even know the address???
Sorry for his loss,BUT,once again it seems that a falang doesn't understand that not only does he standout because he is falang,he sets himself up by being ''Mr.Flash''!Seems knowing how to ''take care'' of yourself is not enough when you are really ''a fish out of the pond''!
Now I wonder if he actually expects to receive anything back even if the culprit is caught

I don't understand this. To me it looks like he has got his gold in his hand. Was it never stolen or have the police done a super quick job. Or maybe the translation of the story is confusing.BKKSTAN wrote:Sorry for his loss,BUT,once again it seems that a falang doesn't understand that not only does he standout because he is falang,he sets himself up by being ''Mr.Flash''!Seems knowing how to ''take care'' of yourself is not enough when you are really ''a fish out of the pond''!

ok so maybe the whole loss is put at one million baht and not just the Tong.lee wrote:Translated from udondee.com:

and you can't hide anything in a motorcycle battery as its a sealed unit and is a little on the small side.
