Red circle Thailand has been added to the travel red list for England. This means those arriving from Thailand, including returning #PhuketSandbox tourists, will have to isolate at a quarantine facility for 10 days. Already a thread on this in the Covid forum but here's the latest red-listed country list and the NEW HIGHER PRICE for that 10-day mandatory hostagery. Previously a princely £1750.

That's only GBP 4570 (about B210,000) for a couple who managed to get through all the hoops and have a day or two sat on a deserted Phuket beach ....... be cheaper to book an extra 3 weeks in Thailand and wait for GB to reverse the decision at the next meeting. Nice to see that they gave 48 hrs notice to give people time to book on the one possible flight from BKK that gets back in time
