While I was away, I suspect my oldest boy used my best cigar-lighting gizmo to roast insects (as they do) and as such the sparker wire has burned out.
Anyone seen any market stalls with these type of gas lighters in and around the Udon traps?
I have rebuilt this one once before when the piezo-sparker died and I stole one from the dismantled kitchen stove lighter which caused a minor ruckus at the time. I could buy another cheap kitchen sparker and do it again but reckon it is time for an entirely new flamethrower.

Is that the new "Ar-15" of a cigarette lighters, Tamada?

Can't say that I have ever seen one before Tam, but I'm sure that if they were available in town, a certain forum member would have exercised his right (under the umpteenth amendment of 1495) to buy all of them to protect himself from a possible attack by German Stormtroopers

They're common enough on the street stalls in Pattaya but I don't plan on visiting there for a wee while yet. I guess the next time I do hit sin city, I need to get a couple or 3.

There is a similar one on chilindo.com tools section.
Also at the back of the Bangkok Hospital just go in the road toward the car park and opposite the plastic shop there is a wee shop which sells them. Maybe not meant for cigars but will do the job.

Good spot there Jimmy! That will do as the backup, single-burner for now.Wee Jimmy wrote: ↑March 1, 2018, 11:15 pmThere is a similar one on chilindo.com tools section.

In Pattaya they have table-top models that are ostensibly for burning stuff in the kitchen but are a bit too big for the pocket.
Cheers!

Struck out completely on your location there Jimmy. Bangkok Hospital has 2 entrances to their car park, being behind "pet-shop corner".Wee Jimmy wrote: ↑March 1, 2018, 11:15 pmThere is a similar one on chilindo.com tools section.

Not at all sure what the 'plastic shop' is either. So it it on Tongyai (from the school roundabout south towards the station?) or Wattananuwong (from the school roundabout west towards Soi Sampan?)
