Hi
Looking to buy some Jacaranda, Pink Blossom and or Purple Wisteria type trees in or around the Udon Thani area. If I have to drive to LOEI or somewhere like that I will.
It would appear from the web, that places like Chiang Mai and Khun Wang Chang Kian (presumably where it is cooler) seem to have them, but haven't seen any down Udon Thani way. Anyone know why?
Any directions to the nearest location that might sell some of these flowering trees or anything that flowers with colors, would be appreciated
regards

Jacaranda and Pink Blossom Trees
Re: Jacaranda and Pink Blossom Trees
I'm unable to help you with locating the trees but I was in Pretoria, SA one October and the jacaranda trees were in full bloom. It was absolutely breath-taking. I've never seen such a beautiful array of flowering trees. If you do happen to find a supplier please post on the forum. I'd be interested in planting some myself. Good luck.
Re: Jacaranda and Pink Blossom Trees
The tree in the photo has been in bloom for well over a month. It's on kilo 19, not far from our home.
กาฬพฤกษ์ is the name in Thai.
It's a Common name Horse cassia, Pink Shower [1], [2]
Scientific name Cassia grandis Cassia grandis Lf in the Fabaceae ( Fabaceae or LEGUMINOSAE ) and in caesalpinioideae ( CAESALPINIOIDEAE or CAESALPINIACEAE ) [1], [2].

Re: Jacaranda and Pink Blossom Trees
Hi does anyone have an idea of what type of tree (Thai or Other Name) is the one in the center of the photo, with the thin 1.2 m trunk and the then the 3 or 4 long upright branches with the leaves at the top.
I am told it will flower but color of flower is unknown
