Chinese Restaurant!
Chinese Restaurant!
Looking for a Chinese Restaurant.I mean a real Chinese restaurant!
Not a Thai restaurant that does Chinese Dishes.
I crave for Chow Mein. Not had for years!
Does anyone know of one in Udon?

Re: Chinese Restaurant!
There's an abundance of Chinese restaurants in Udon, some catering to the traditional family roundtable sort of meal. But I doubt you'll find 'Chow Mein' listed on any menu.....although I'm sure you can find a reasonable facsimile.

Re: Chinese Restaurant!
If you find one let us know. I would also love a chicken choi mein.
Down in Patters until next week, have looked at a couple down here but they are Thai managed.

Yes l was going to mention that but maybe the poster wants to have the meal served by a lovely Chinese girl wearing the cheongsam dress. Maybe Suzie Wong style.
Re: Chinese Restaurant!
We'll have a word with Andy about that. Does he need to shave his legs?

But what about Mr C Holden. He'd want more Dosh for Mr A's glamour show.

Re: Chinese Restaurant!
Andy and I have had this conversation. What he serves is actually Lo Mein. Chow Mein noodles are are crunchy while Lo Mein noodles are soft.
From Google:
The sauce: Chow mein is more of a dry noodle dish with an extremely light and delicate sauce — if any sauce at all. Lo mein is a saucy noodle dish that depends on a rich sauce for much of its flavor. The texture: Chow mein noodles tend to be crunchier than lo mein noodles due to the way they are cooked.
Regardless of the name, what Andy makes is delicious. I am sure if would ask him or Chris they would try to accommodate.

I am looking for a Chinese restaurant tonight too preferably one that does not serve Chow Mein. I am staying between Central and UD Town so I guess there should be one nearby.

I think Andy's. Chow Mein will be the best anyone will find in Udon.

Re: Chinese Restaurant!
Thanks, but I am looking for Chinese food, not chow mein. I found some sui mai at the night market.
