Israel's genocide and ethnic cleansing of Gaza continues. Most aid still stalled at the border. Biden yet again fails to criticise Israel for failing to meet his 'ultimatum' to increase aid. And with Trump as the next US president, members of Israel's government are now talking about annexing parts of the West bank.
Saudi Arabia has finally condemned the war in Gaza as genocide. Will it be just empty words or will they, eventually act?
Borrell has stated that if Israel will not stop the war all dialogue between EU and Israel will cease.
Does Israel realise that the only friend thy have left is the USA? (and possibly Starmer). The rest of the world has been sickened by the brutal, year long response to Hamas's invasion which has killed well over 40,000 Palestinians, mostly women and Children.
I think the possibility of a full on Middle-east war is not to be dismissed. Not yet, but maybe within 10 years. I also suspect that both Iran and Saudi Arabia will be nuclear armed states by then. They do not have to develop weapons themselves, I am sure the technology could easily be bought from North Korea or Pakistan if the price is right.
All i can say is, Israel's actions will have provoked it.

Absolutely amazing that some people actually still believe the Genocide lies. Some 40,000 odd unverified deaths (obviously no Hamas hero's as they are hiding behind the women and children) in over a year in a population of somewhere just short of 3 million is a complete failure by the IDF to wipe out the Palestinians.rick wrote: ↑November 14, 2024, 1:27 pmIsrael's genocide and ethnic cleansing of Gaza continues. If someone ever believes Saudi and Iran will ever join in a coalition against Israel and its supporters then you must believe in the last edition of Herr Goebbels Propaganda for Idiots publication.
Re: Israel under attack from hamas, war declared.
With Huckabee the next US Ambassador to Israel, I think the writing may be on the wall for the two-state solution. He doesn't believe there's a Palestine or such a thing as a Palestinian.
Serves them right really, the two-state solution has been on the table for decades, only to be repeatedly rejected by Iran and their proxies. They will reap what they have sown.

You are not the only one to believe this is the case.
Israel's tactics in Gaza show 'characteristics of genocide', UN special committee reports
Israel's warfare in Gaza is consistent with the characteristics of genocide, a special UN committee said on Thursday, as a Human Rights Watch (HRW) report said Israel's displacement of Gazans amounts to a "crime against humanity".
The UN's report cited Israeli use of starvation as a weapon of war and AI-assisted military targeting with little human intervention as evidence of "disregard of [Israel's] obligation to distinguish between civilians and combatants and take adequate safeguards to prevent civilian deaths".

Re: Israel under attack from hamas, war declared.
The U.N. focuses more of its attention on repeatedly condemning Israel than on all of the other human rights abusers and deniers combined. This includes countries that sanction human slavery, FGM, summary execution of LGBTQ+ individuals, and more. And where's the outrage in the U.N. about Hamas' using civilians as shields, Hamas' denying civilians access to its tunnels? Supposedly Hamas' continuing to hold Israeli hostages is a war crime, but where's the outrage in the U.N.? Nah, I care less and less about the U.N.'s opinion of what's going on the world.jackspratt wrote: ↑November 15, 2024, 8:47 pmYou are not the only one to believe this is the case.

In other news, the IDF did not hijack or have anything whatsoever to do with the loss of 97 lorries loaded with aid shortly after they had entered from southern Israel.
If UNRWA are so totally disconsolate and are being honest about it being "an impossible environment to operate in", then maybe they should leave and let the Gazan's discover who is truly looking after their best interests?

Interesting how an Israeli news channel is able to send a reporter into Gaza, but international - and dare I say it, more independent - reporters are still forbidden.Udon Map wrote: ↑November 19, 2024, 11:46 pmWell, let's hear what the Gazans have to say: https://x.com/i/status/1856436235327225974jackspratt wrote: ↑November 15, 2024, 8:47 pmThe UN's report cited Israeli use of starvation as a weapon of war . . . .
As for "Honest Reporting" - meh!
They have still to retract their discredited "49 decapitated babies" report https://x.com/HonestReporting/status/17 ... 3502361733

Oh Dear
The same outpouring of hurt because of the unverified number of casualties on the side who actually started this phase of their stated mission of wiping a nation from the face of the earth.
Its getting as old as the anti Israel proclamations from the totally useless UN.

Dead people are dead already. How can they possibly be looked after now? Doesn't matter much as they're all martyrs in heaven already.
Anyway, wasn't the wellbeing of the Gazans the responsibility of their own "Health Ministry"?
Or are they solely an agent for collating uncorroborated statistics?

Any suggestion that this video supposedly of Gazans being interviewed is false or staged? Are you suggesting that Hamas is not stealing the food, or selling it back to civilians?jackspratt wrote: ↑November 20, 2024, 8:38 amUdon Map wrote: ↑November 19, 2024, 11:46 pmWell, let's hear what the Gazans have to say: https://x.com/i/status/1856436235327225974jackspratt wrote: ↑November 15, 2024, 8:47 pmThe UN's report cited Israeli use of starvation as a weapon of war . . . .
It does appear that that report was false. But Honest Reporting was hardly the only news media to report it.jackspratt wrote: ↑November 20, 2024, 8:38 amThey have still to retract their discredited "49 decapitated babies" report https://x.com/HonestReporting/status/17 ... 3502361733
Good on Hamas, -- they didn't decapitate 49 babies there. I'm sure that Israelis are grateful to Hamas for that.
In any case, it's now undisputed that 132 Israelis were killed at that kibbutz, and 32 taken hostage. We can argue about the specifics of the atrocities that Hamas perpetrated against Israeli civilians, about how severely brutal and inhuman the Hamas attack was, and how severely brutal and inhuman it has been to both Israelis and Gazans alike.

No, and no. Has anyone suggested otherwise?Any suggestion that this video supposedly of Gazans being interviewed is false or staged? Are you suggesting that Hamas is not stealing the food, or selling it back to civilians?
My comment was clearly directed at the absence of independent reporting out of Gaza, when Israeli media is obviously allowed. I have previously pointed out mis/disinformation put out by the IDF, and in the absence of independent media, the rest of the concerned and interested world is forced to rely on what is being said by the UN/UNRWA and the Health Ministry - both of which are decried here.
It then becomes an issue of credibility ie who you choose to believe, and to what degree.
indeed.Good on Hamas, -- they didn't decapitate 49 babies there. I'm sure that Israelis are grateful to Hamas for that.
Re: Israel under attack from hamas, war declared.
Then what difference does it make that the video's source once repeated a widely disseminated story that was eventually proved to be false? Where's the relevance?jackspratt wrote: ↑November 20, 2024, 5:46 pmNo, and no. Has anyone suggested otherwise?Any suggestion that this video supposedly of Gazans being interviewed is false or staged?
