Re: Will Trump make the Grade.
As an outsider looking in I think he will make the grade, (not really a high score card to beat ). He was already signing off on policy or repeal of obamas health policy even before the day was finished.
I think his sleeves are rolled up and ready to go.

Aint no expert but i think he will do well with Law n order , jobs , trade , economy and the military etc but other areas maybe not so positive...he was democratically elected and these street protests are doing no good what so ever .. give the fella a chance , definately gonna shake things up ...
This was most certainly an election vote for change and anti establishment which seems the way of things in the world recently with Brexit . USA ... and possibly Italy , France and Holland all facing votes soon will it prove the same story .
Hillary Clinton would just have been more of the same where as with Trump things will change for the better is the question ?? immigration and Foreign affairs inc IS will be the areas most head shaking.
Great watching from the outside ..makes great TV ... tho the new WH press secretary more or less blanked the press after his first speech .

Re: Will Trump make the Grade.
The only free debate in Washington is about the question of the USA being either an autocracy or a plutocracy and clearly the right man is in the Whitehouse to show us what the USA really is.
In terms of Foreign policy this is ruled by the military industrial base, energy by the biggest polluters and the economy by bankers that everyone knows can’t be trusted.
The Trump government will be a government for the rich by the rich. I wouldn’t expect much for the rest from this administration.

Re: Will Trump make the Grade.
plutocracy?? I don't think there were any middle class folks in Obama's cabinet.... So, with Trump, let's see what the outsider/disrupter can do.. Either he will implement reforms that benefit the country with the next 20 months or so or he'll get smashed flat in the 2018 mid-term elections for Congress.. If he doesn't produce, he'll be a one term President.. If though, he brings 4-5% GDP growth, a few million good paying manufacturing jobs, reforms and totally simplifies the tax system, changes the immigration laws, and has a robust foreign policy to smack North Korea in the face and to grind ISIS into dust, then the Republicans will end up in the 2018 mid-terms with a super-majority in Congress and able to do whatever they desire..

President Trump has already made a significant contribution to the US by getting all those fat women out walking something Michelle Obama was unable to do in 8 years of being 1st lady.

Re: Will Trump make the Grade.
It's quite obvious that Obama nor congress have the ability to balance a checkbook. It's past time that the people running the country learn that at some point, the huge debt is going to have to be repaid. The amount of money wasted by the establishment politicians is a shame and shows how the establishment works. I hope Trump can actually drain the swamp.
It's difficult to believe the sore losers who care nothing about the country have time to protest. They apparently only worry that their benefits are going to be cut. They should be looking for jobs rather than crying and protesting.
Someone posted about the inauguration crowd. How many of them are working people? How many of them are welfare professionals?

FrazeeDK wrote:on the picture comparison between Obama's 2009 inauguration and Trumps inauguration attendance, for it to be fair you'd need to show Obama's 2012 inauguration, along with both of Bush's and both of Clinton's.. Obama's first inauguration was an epic event since he was the first "Black" President...
Prior estimates give us an idea of how many people showed up for past inaugurations.
Barack Obama, 2013: 1 million
Barack Obama, 2009: 1.8 million (generally considered a record for people on the National Mall)
George W. Bush, 2005: 400,000
George W. Bush, 2001: 300,000
Bill Clinton, 1997: 250,000
Bill Clinton, 1993: 800,000
George H.W. Bush, 1989: 300,000
http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter ... es-ranked/
Estimates place attendance of Mr Trump's inauguration at around 250,000, although there are no official figures....
...Meanwhile, more than 500,000 demonstrators marched on the nation's capital the day after the presidential inauguration – and hundreds of thousands and possibly millions more took to the streets in all 50 states and around the globe.
http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world ... 39776.html
Marcel Altenburg and Keith Still, crowd scientists at Manchester Metropolitan University in Britain, analyzed photographs and video taken of the National Mall and vicinity and estimated that there were about 160,000 people in those areas in the hour leading up to Mr. Trump’s speech Friday.
They estimated that at least 470,000 people were at the women’s march in Washington in the areas on and near the mall at about 2 p.m. Saturday.

Entering office with a 37% approval rating, yes some do have faith in him.
January 10, 2017 - U.S. Voters Approve Of Obama, Disapprove Of Trump, Quinnipiac University National Poll Finds; Trump Should Stop Tweeting, Voters Say 2-1
American voters approve 55 - 39 percent of the job President Barack Obama is doing, his best approval rating in seven years, according to a Quinnipiac University national poll released today. These same voters disapprove 51 - 37 percent of the way Donald Trump is handling his job as president-elect.

Time will tell if he can live up to his promises.Just over a third of Americans approve of President-elect Donald Trump, according to a new poll released hours before his inauguration.
The survey from Fox News showed that 37 percent of Americans approve of Trump ahead of his inauguration, while 54 percent do not.
Measuring the country’s mood just before Inauguration Day, 60 percent of Americans said “it’s everyone for themselves,” and 34 percent said “we’re all in this together.”
The poll comes at the tail end of a flurry of surveys that show Trump as having a historically low approval rating for a president-elect.
According to an ABC/Washington Post poll released earlier this week, 40 percent of Americans approved of Trump. In 2009, 80 percent of Americans approved of then-President-elect Barack Obama.http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing- ... urs-before

I wish we had someone like Mr. Trump running Canada. He is a little rough around the edges but I really think we need someone like him. I am so fed up with the way things are going here in Canada.

In reply to the fellow Canadian, yes Canada is on the wrong track, but things are looking up for 2019. Kevin O'leary is running for leader of the conservative party. He is Canada's answer to the Donald.

BREAKING: Trump’s 28 Point Plan For His Presidency REVEALED… This is EXACTLY What America Needs!
"President-Elect Donald Trump’s made a lot of promises in 2016.
Twenty-eight of them, in fact – at least, that’s the latest count, courtesy of Breitbart. And he’s planning on following through, starting Monday!
So what are they?
Propose a Constitutional Amendment to impose term limits on all members of Congress
Institute a hiring freeze on all federal employees to reduce federal workforce through attrition (exempting military, public safety, and public health)
Require for every new federal regulation, two existing regulations must be eliminated.
Institute a five year-ban on White House and Congressional officials becoming lobbyists after they leave government service
Create a lifetime ban on White House officials lobbying on behalf of a foreign government.
Institute a complete ban on foreign lobbyists raising money for American elections.
Announce intention to renegotiate NAFTA or withdraw from the deal under Article 2205.
Announce withdrawal from the Trans-Pacific Partnership.
Direct Secretary of the Treasury to label China a currency manipulator.
Direct the Secretary of Commerce and U.S. Trade Representative to identify all foreign trading abuses that unfairly impact American workers and direct them to use every tool under American and international law to end those abuses immediately.
Lift the restrictions on the production of $50 trillion dollars’ worth of job-producing American energy reserves, including shale, oil, natural gas and clean coal.
Lift the Obama-Clinton roadblocks and allow vital energy infrastructure projects, like the Keystone Pipeline, to move forward.
Cancel billions in payments to U.N. climate change programs and use the money to fix America’s water and environmental infrastructure.
Cancel every unconstitutional executive action, memorandum and order issued by President Obama.
Begin the process of selecting a replacement for Justice Scalia from one of the 20 judges on my list, who will uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States.
Cancel all federal funding to Sanctuary Cities.
Begin removing the more than 2 million criminal illegal immigrants from the country and cancel visas to foreign countries that won’t take them back.
Suspend immigration from terror-prone regions where vetting cannot safely occur. All vetting of people coming into our country will be considered extreme vetting.
Work with Congress on a Middle Class Tax Relief And Simplification Act.An economic plan designed to grow the economy 4% per year and create at least 25 million new jobs through massive tax reduction and simplification, in combination with trade reform, regulatory relief, and lifting the restrictions on American energy. The largest tax reductions are for the middle class. A middle-class family with 2 children will get a 35% tax cut. The current number of brackets will be reduced from 7 to 3, and tax forms will likewise be greatly simplified. The business rate will be lowered from 35 to 15 percent, and the trillions of dollars of American corporate money overseas can now be brought back at a 10 percent rate.
Work with Congress on a End The Offshoring ActEstablishes tariffs to discourage companies from laying off their workers in order to relocate in other countries and ship their products back to the U.S. tax-free.
Work with Congress on a American Energy & Infrastructure ActLeverages public-private partnerships, and private investments through tax incentives, to spur $1 trillion in infrastructure investment over 10 years. It is revenue neutral.
Work with Congress on a School Choice And Education Opportunity ActRedirects education dollars to gives parents the right to send their kid to the public, private, charter, magnet, religious or home school of their choice. Ends common core, brings education supervision to local communities. It expands vocational and technical education, and make 2 and 4-year college more affordable.
Work with Congress on a Repeal and Replace Obamacare ActFully repeals Obamacare and replaces it with Health Savings Accounts, the ability to purchase health insurance across state lines, and lets states manage Medicaid funds. Reforms will also include cutting the red tape at the FDA: there are over 4,000 drugs awaiting approval, and we especially want to speed the approval of life-saving medications.
Work with Congress on a Affordable Childcare and Eldercare Act.Allows Americans to deduct childcare and elder care from their taxes, incentivizes employers to provide on-side childcare services, and creates tax-free Dependent Care Savings Accounts for both young and elderly dependents, with matching contributions for low-income families.
Work with Congress on an End Illegal Immigration ActFully-funds the construction of a wall on our southern border with the full understanding that the country Mexico will be reimbursing the United States for the full cost of such wall; establishes a 2-year mandatory minimum federal prison sentence for illegally re-entering the U.S. after a previous deportation, and a 5-year mandatory minimum for illegally re-entering for those with felony convictions, multiple misdemeanor convictions or two or more prior deportations; also reforms visa rules to enhance penalties for overstaying and to ensure open jobs are offered to American workers first.
Work with Congress on a Restoring Community Safety Act.Reduces surging crime, drugs and violence by creating a Task Force On Violent Crime and increasing funding for programs that train and assist local police; increases resources for federal law enforcement agencies and federal prosecutors to dismantle criminal gangs and put violent offenders behind bars.
Work with Congress on a Restoring National Security Act.Rebuilds our military by eliminating the defense sequester and expanding military investment; provides Veterans with the ability to receive public VA treatment or attend the private doctor of their choice; protects our vital infrastructure from cyber-attack; establishes new screening procedures for immigration to ensure those who are admitted to our country support our people and our values
Work with Congress on a Clean up Corruption in Washington Act.Enacts new ethics reforms to Drain the Swamp and reduce the corrupting influence of special interests on our politics."
