The most vicious Trump haters are also the most frequent posters. Anyone who supported an airhead rather than The best person for the job obviously lacks intelligence.

The senior appointments made thus far by the President-elect are being well received in USA, even Trump haters on The View have adopted a more nuanced position. Hopefully the next four years are better for all American citizens irrespective of political leaning.

I will leave it for the next 4 years whilst the ever shrinking number of forum contributors gnash their teeth as the USA experiences the golden era under the stewardship of DJT.

Marco Rubio for State? Talk about lightweights.

While I agree with some of his policies, he's not going to be able to keep his promises, but I don't think that he ever had anyy intention of keeping them. He says what he has to in order to get votes. The average American is going to be much worse off economically because of his reign.

Luv him or hate him Keven Rudd (Australian Embassator to the USA) is facing the chopping block for putting schite on Trump many times. Trump wants to kick him out 555555. He can't as he has no power in that area.
Rudd still has the full backing from Penny Wong, his boss, and the sitting government.

I suppose it depends on if AUS wants a friendly relationship or an adversarial relationship with the US.

I asked this type of question once to a particularly thorny service company bidding for work for the company I represented. They ended up changing their recalcitrant representative in the end.

The newly elected Labour government in the UK are going to be similarly challenged, when as leader of the opposition and shadow foreign secretary, Starmer and Lammy both made derogatory public statements about Trump.

It's politics though. Doesn't amount to a hill of beans in the long run.

Nice lefty liberal, tolerant, unprejudiced, unbigoted comments in the echo chamber. And here the MSM has painted the right wingers the anti-establishment and violent voters.

Trumps not my favourite politician but the first two comments are pretty much over the top.
He is the democratically elected new POTUS so nothing the lefties can LEGALLY do about it.

I think he can, but I don't think he will, use those powers at his disposal.

All any US President needs to do, is to make it known, that an Ambassador of a particular country is "persona non grata or not welcome" in his eyes. Not hard to do.

Then after a period of that Ambassador not being overlooked for other US or Ambassadorial type functions and with fewer and fewer important people coming to his function, along with limited access to key GOP Representatives (House or Congress), effectively being ostracized an so then viewed as ineffective in his role, he (that Ambassador) will soon want to transfer to another friendlier posting like the UK, Libya, Algeria, Yemen, [-( [-(

It doesn't spectrum a President comes from, the Ambassadors of another country should know their place and be smart enough to keep their views to themselves and only express the Nations view and not their own. :-k :-k

Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, 1961 might also work.

The precedent has already been set, albeit by the British Ambassador to the US resigning back in 2019. But he had already been "fired" by Trump over his (leaked) criticism of 45's administration.

I suppose being labeled a "Diplomatic Nobody", certainly would help your effectiveness in the Diplomatic circles.

And what eventually happened to Kim Darroch after he resigned his post in December 2019, he went into retirement. :-k :-k

Oh no, apparently he became Chairperson of non-partisan, internationalist campaign group. [-( [-( [-( and then went onto ..................
