Trump 2025
And so the circle is complete.
The Insurrectionist-in-Chief (otherwise affectionately described by Jon Stewart as Little Bitch), having been effectively pardoned by Mitch McConnell, the Supreme Court, and a plurality of the electorate, has pardoned and/or commuted his convicted criminal followers who took up his instructions to overthrow the 2020 election.
God help the USA.

Re: Trump 2025
The good news is that Uncle Joe's days of damaging the USA are over. MAGA is now underway. Biden will go down in history as the worst president the US has ever had. The DC swamp is in the process of being destroyed. Biden's unelected minders and decision makers are gone. The bloated government is going to be reduced and billions of taxpayer dollars will be saved. Common sense will now be the rule.

Great speech by Trump , those sat to his left must have been squirming at every part of it.
Just watching DT signing a plethora of "common sense" executive orders including a SovE at the Southern Border, trade and hes gonna drill baby drill.
The times are a changin and one would hope DT and his new government get a fair crack of the whip and not blocked or hampered as his first term. Who knows he may just MAGA and even some of the haters around the world (including Ban Dung) may admit their toxic views may have been miss placed.
Biden looks so relieved to be retiring and lets hope the democrat swamp is drained further with the Clintons Obamas etc all hanging up their lust for power.
A GREAT DAY FOR AMERICA

Eliminating highly paid government employees who don't actually have a job to do and who are able to stay at home and still be paid. Several useless government agencies will likely be eliminated. Everyone knows the government is bloated but due to nepotism and favors owed, they are scared to replace useless employees. The government position is, You don't tell on me and I won't tell on you. That's the normal way of being a politician. I'm convinced that there are better days ahead.

The highly paid employees, which one? and if they do eliminate some, if they exist its pittance in trillion-dollar budget
The rest of your statement is gibberish
" Several useless government agencies will likely be eliminated." OK which ones?
"Everyone knows the government is bloated but due to nepotism and favors owed, they are scared to replace useless employees. The government position is, You don't tell on me and I won't tell on you." The Government has run like this for centuries and will continue to run as such. If they are to fix how will this happen and what timeline
Published in January 2025
"While the median pay for federal workers is $99,000, wide variations exist across 438 agencies and sub-agencies. Employees at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) have a median pay of $247,518 while employees working for Veterans Affairs and the Treasury Department are paid among the lowest."
Pittance in the whole outlook of things

Regardless how n where its done DT has from the outset said he will streamline the government , i believe Elon Musk is tasked with doing so.
A huge Trillion dollar saving by withdrawing from the Paris climate treaty also.
Also of note only 2 genders Male n Female will be recognized in the USA ... as it should be none of this trans stuff and people saying they are door handles, bike seats , cats and dustbins BS.
DTs speech was excellent a refreshing change from the bumbling incoherent Biden or word salad gold medalist Harris ..his words seems to have offered hope and restored pride to many Americans today.

After pardoning most of the criminals involved in the Capitol Building invasion in 2021 this BS has just been proclaimed:
https://www.abc.net.au/news/2025-01-21/ ... /104840868
What next? Is he going to claim the "Great Ocean of the U.S.A" previously known as the Atlantic.
IMHO. Clean up the public service = OK, but things like stopping green energy infrastructure such as wind turbines etc is crazy. The guy is acting like a dictator on a power rush.

Re: Trump 2025
Got me thinking - given his advanced age and general state of unfitness - about whether he will last the full 4 years.
I must admit I am in 2 minds - one part of me says I hope he is still alive, and fit enough to face the delayed legal consequences of his numerous (alleged) crimes.
On the other hand, it would be of some relief if the grim reaper did his business asap.

Well Jack, looking at the Orange Ones history, Father dies at age 93 and Mother died at age 78.
Now they didn't have MacDonalds back then and I can't imagine the Great one exercising every day, unless you call driving a golf cart exercise.
SO I am in agreement with you line of thought in him making it the 4 years. I wonder if Vance is rubbing his hands together
Bookmakers Odds
https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics ... r-AA1u1qse
"A leading bookmaker is offering odds of 2/5 (71.4 percent) on Donald Trump completing a full four-year second presidential term in the White House."

Trump, and unsavoury, in the same sentence - how appropriate.
Re: Trump 2025
The President is not mucking around.
Donald Trump has brutally cut diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) policies in the federal government as he is set to fire all DEI staff by tomorrow.
The new Trump administration sent a letter to all heads and acting heads of government agencies on Tuesday, informing them all federal employees in DEI roles must be placed on paid leave by 5pm Wednesday.
All DEI offices in federal agencies are also being closed in the move, which comes after Mr Trump signed an anti-DEI executive order in front of a cheering crowd at his inauguration on Monday.
In a letter first obtained by CBS News, the agencies were ordered to “take prompt actions” against all departments “focusing exclusively on DEI initiatives and programs.”
The letter also demands all public DEI focused web pages be taken offline, and orders employees within the departments to report “any efforts to disguise these programs by using coded or imprecise language.”
Any employees that are aware of “coded or imprecise language” intended to keep DEI programs alive but do not report them within 10 days are warned of ‘adverse consequences.’

Here we go again, Trump at his best!!!
https://www.abc.net.au/news/2025-01-22/ ... /104846786
All she wanted him to do is show some mercy to illegal imigrants caught up in his crack down and now crapping in their pants:-Right Reverend Mariann Edgar Budde was delivering an interfaith sermon on Tuesday morning to a crowd which included the president and his supporters.
Now, Trump has condemned Reverend Budde.
"The so-called Bishop who spoke at the National Prayer Service on Tuesday morning was a Radical Left hard line Trump hater," he wrote on social media platform Truth Social.
"She brought her church into the World of politics in a very ungracious way.
"She was nasty in tone, and not compelling or smart."
He added he found the bishop's sermon also "very boring and uninspiring".
"She is not very good at her job! She and her church owe the public an apology!"

The much awaited new EO's are in overdrive. Some will be sensible, others not so much and a fair few will be controversial, but this one's a winner in my book.
"Ending Radical and Wasteful Government DEI Programs and Preferencing and Initial Rescissions of Harmful Executive Orders and Actions"
Accordingly, President Donald Trump ordered all federal diversity, equity, and inclusion staff to be put on leave effective Wednesday.
According to a memo from the Office of Personnel Management, agencies are directed to put all DEI office staffers on paid leave by 5 p.m. on Wednesday. All DEI-related government web pages must be taken down by the same deadline.

Absolutely agree. The only thing that would better this is if he chucks the totally useless UN out of the USA. The organisation is 'so' past its sell by date.tamada wrote: ↑January 22, 2025, 2:58 pmThe much awaited new EO's are in overdrive. Re: Trump 2025
so, how many DEI staff are now on Paid Leave?? hundreds? over a thousand? How long will it take the Office of Personnel Management to either reassign those staff to a non-DEI position or implement a Reduction In Force policy for all those people?? I'm betting the bureaucracy will slow roll it and those folks will be sitting at home on admin leave for months..So not a well thought out process in my mind.. As for Federal Pay, those base pay levels, the $99,000 dollars does not include what the Feds Call Locality pay.. No, its not a COLA, it, under the Federal Pay Comparibility Act of the early 90's implemented a bump in pay that differs according to where you live. The brilliant folks that came up with it (thank you Congress) believed that, at the time in the early 90's the Fed Pay was sub par so to attract talent and keep them they had to make the pay equal to what regular civilians got. Its NOT given by job position but as a percentage based on where they're assigned. Get this, for Washington DC the locality pay is now 33.94%. So, that $99,000 is in total about $133,000. Oh, the Federal Unions regularly whine Locality Pay is too low. Now, given the generous Fed benefits in vacation, subsidized health care, sick leave, matching in Thrift Savings Program (Fed 401K) and a decent retiirement, I personally don't think Locality Pay should exist anymore.
Dave
